Hi, I'm pretty new here and this is my first post in this community. I was really psyched when I saw some T5 story videos here when I became I member. I downloaded some of them. Anyways, now I plan to give back to this community. Thanks for the videos, SonKitty!

T5DR Online Update for Japan

The Japanese version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Online will be receving an update tomorrow.

New Stuff:

Pick Up Mode - Automatically finds an opponent for you according to the options you select for the opponent you want to fight, without having to wait in a room. Even if you opponent quits, the computer will find you another opponent with the same qualifications.

Name Your Room - Name your room like “Beginners Only” or “XXX Character Only”

Adjusted Rank Points - The ranking points will be adjusted to a more balanced value when you win/lose.

Room Search Options - Just like when you make a room, now you can also have the option of selecting the type of room you want to find when doing room search.

“Your Next” Alert - When lining up in a room, a new option will let you know that you are fighting next, either by sound effects or by controller rumble.

“Rankings OFF” Option - You can turn the Ranking Points Off now when you are fighting online, so you don’t have to worry about your Rank dropping when constantly getting PWNed. I know I’ll be using this cuz it sux fighting a friend and having both of your ranks dropping eventually when going back and forth.

This update will also include support for DualShock 3 controllers.

Sweeter than Cinnabon

Love knows no bounds. No sirs, even the class of weight is ignored when it comes to a certain American lumberjack attired man and a tomboy, dude-looking German teenager. The love was more of a one-sided one since the German paid no heed to the advances of the fat man.

"Mah name be Bob! And I new in town!" he would proclaim to everyone in the King of the Iron Fist Tournament. From the Spanish matador dude, who told him to screw off or he's going to be missing a pair. The exotic dancer that told him that she wouldn't tap him even if he's the last man on earth, which was weird because Bob only wanted a "Hello, how are you doing" not a one nighter. Before he could interject with her crude call, she was already gone, on her way trying to seduce some matador. Matadors pwn lumberjacks. It's elementary, my children! But that is another story I am afraid.

"Mah name be Bob! And I new in town!" Bob said lastly to a young girl with short, dirty blonde hair. She turned around and looked up. The guy was freaking HUGE, both width and height. "Um...hi. I'm Leo..." she trailed off, trying not to snicker at his stupid attire.

"I like you, do you like me?" Bob asked almost instantly. That question was answered by a cock of the eyebrow by the German, followed with a "...No." Bob stared at Leo. Leo tried to look away. Bob kept staring. Leo kept trying to look away. "Um...I gotta go, dude." She said hesitantly, backing up towards the door.

"Okie-dokie! I'll see you later mah sweet! Did I mention you smell as good as those giant cinnamon rolls I had at Cinnabon before I got here?! Those are good! I had like...5 on the way down here. But you, baby, you are better than 5 cinnamon rolls!" He even growled to seal the pick up line. Leo was at a lost of words. Either that or she was about to blow chunks at what he just said. She just smiled and nodded. Smiled and nodded. "That's nice..." Leo added, before opening the door and calmly walked outside, only to run like a madwoman as soon as she was out of sight of the hotel, screaming the famous three word phrase;

"What. The. Hell?!"

Better Than Food

It was in the middle of night when it happened. That is when serenades in the moonlight usually occur. Rumor has it that a flexible, exotic woman told an obese American to go sing for some more food by pledging his love to an unknown 'beauty' on the second floor of a hacienda. Yeah, this should go pretty well, considering you are taking advice from the most untrusting woman in the whole King of the Iron Fist Tournament.

The air was cold that evening, so the man dressed in baggy pants and a hoodie that made him look gangsta-crunk. Very romantic if ya ask me. He pulled out a piece of paper from the front pocket of said hoodie and unfolded it; a song quoted for the truth written inside. He cleared his throat, signaling the 'woman' to come. A shadow coming from behind the blinds of the window came into view and the serenader began his plea of lurve.

"I am a hungry man

Hungry for anything that is sweet, sour, salty and/or fattening

I don't care if you hit me with a frying pan

Or with a wood floor panelling!

I will still love ya and bask

In your foodlicious, beautiful mood.

So now I have to ask

Where is my food?"

Instead of the sounds of a woman left breathless by the touching poem, a shirtless Spaniard hombre opened the window and threw a hell of a lot of things at the poor, obese man outside.

"Está loco?! ¡VETE!" (You crazy?! GO AWAY!)

Second Chance, Plz?

So Bob couldn't get the tomboy German to be his. So what? They are more chickens in the henhouse and he could have his pickings whenever he pleases! That was one weird analogy...

Maybe he will give the exotic woman a chance. Bob be a player and there is plenty of him to go around...and then some! Because Bob is bringing sexyback and if that phrase didn't sound right at all, don't worry. It didn't.

Bob spotted Zafina standing by her lonesome, her attention elsewhere rather on the plus size man who is approaching her. That didn't bother him one bit though. When a woman can't look at a guy, it means that they can't stand the smexiness the guy is radiating. This guy just loves to fill his mind with positive thinking. Positive, irrational thinking.

"Mah name be-!" he started off, only to be cut off by her.

"It's Bob. I know. You told me that yesterday." Zafina stated without even looking at him.

"Oh yeah, I forgot." Bob tried to see what the woman was so focused on, but failed to see anything aside from some tan, shirtless man working out outside. Pssh, why would she look at him, Bob thought. He's sooooo typical. Not to mention naturally tanned. And ripped. Did I forget to mention the stubble? I bet he isn't man enough to have a full scale beard! Bob kept thinking to himself, scoffing at those thoughts. "So, what be happening, little lady?"

"Shh! I am trying to watch." she snapped, putting her hand right in front of Bob's face. "What be 'happening' is that I am trying to watch him work out! He thinks he's alone but not for long...." her voice turned into a somewhat evil sneer.

"O...kay." Bob scratched his head, utterly confused. "Wanna go out?"

"....."

"I'm buying! I heard they have a 2 for 1 special at this Chinese/Indian buffet!" he offered.

"Thanks but no thanks. No buffet is worth that." she let out an airy sigh as she saw the other man toss a whole bottle of water on his person to cool off, then he resumed his exercising by beginning some push ups. "I'd smack that everyday...~"

"...But there is more to smack here!" Bob pointed to his sexy bod for emphasis. Zafina didn't even want to go there. "Come on! They close early!"

"How about 'no' and 'never'?"

"Is that a trick question?"

Before she would say something she would regret, she silently crept out of the area, closer to her prey. Hate to see how that will turn out. Bob huffed at his lost of another date and, in turn, stomped out of the area as well.

"Fine! There's more for me then!"

One, Two, Three…He’s Out!

It all starts with a look. Then a wink. Followed by a nudge. Then before you know it, a slap on the ass. And this is why he never trusted anyone. Let alone women that are around his age. That’s when they are the friskiest. Well, not all of them, but damn this one is probably the best example of the modern day 'exotic dancer' courtesan he’s ever seen.

Just looking at her spells it all out. Her exotic beauty. The seductive use of make up. Hair put up in a way only the gypsies of yore would do. Or at least how those fortunetellers and belly dancers do these days. Clothes that looks like they are only suited for the beach and nothing else. And to top it all off, her flexibility she loves to demonstrate in public places. Namely, when she fights. Yep, if that doesn’t spell ‘I’ll love you long time! I’ll be your one night stand!’ then he doesn’t know what does.

Strike One.

Every time he manages to bump into her in the most inconvenient places, the situation gets worse.

First it was a wink followed with slowly purred Hola escaping her painted lips.

"Uh...hola?" would be the answer to that call.

"You look like something troubling you, Señor."

She must be a mind reader or just the stater of the obvious. "What gave you that idea?" the man scoffed in a smartass tone, not even looking at her.

"Just by looking at you...I can tell you don't like people. Too good for them, I'm guessing?" her voice was teasing and biting at the same time. She waited for a response, inching herself closer and closer by the second to make things more tense than it is. "You can tell me~"

"Está loca." he scoffed, shrugging off the suggestion of opening up. To her? The sooner she puts some clothes on he will! And he knows when [i]that[/i] will happen. Never!

Before she could ask another question, he was already gone.

Now isn't someone social?

Strike two.

The second time it was a gentle brushing against his shoulder, despite the fact that the hallway they were crossing each other could easily fit six people walking side by side. Sketchy, much?

"Funny that we bumped into each other!" a voice tittered from behind.

"If you mean you purposely and literally bumping into me, then yeah. It's very funny." he wanted to roll his eyes so bad but refrained from the rude gesture. Because, you know, getting rubbed in the wrong places is just as rude but why join in on the crude fest? "What do you want, now?"

"Someone's a bit rude today," she gave a light laugh. The woman slowly traced his shoulder with one finger as she swerved from her position to face him. As she gotten closer to her desire position, the one finger touch turn into a full hand seductive to his stubbled chin. He wanted to move out of their 'intimate' position but my God, things like this do not happen everyday. Her fingers splayed throughout his hair for the final performance, their faces just centimeters apart. Her lips parted slightly as she crept closer to whisper in his ear.

"If you stop being rude, I'll go further~" she purred once more.

"Then you can call it quits for good because it's over before it even started." his voice dripped with firm, biting wit; while his stance could tell a whole different story since he was practically melting on the inside. He brought his hand to his mouth to suppress a faked cough, an 'Excuse me' muttered in-between as he rushed to get away from her. Before he made his way out, he could have sworn he was slapped on the ass. Now that was just wrong...

As he walked back to his place, she smirked to herself as she noticed his walk beginning to stagger a bit. She had to admit, he's unlike the rest of the guys she's seen but that just made it even more fun. Always up for the challenge and this is worth every encounter.

"This isn't over."

Strike Three.

Not even the privacy of his room could help him escape his 'admirer'. Or so he thought. Ever since those two encounters, he's been more paranoid than usual. Makes him wonder why won't he throw in the towel and give in; you know, it's not everyday you get hit on by an exotic dancer. The mentality of a man is never surprising...

Just to make sure, he checked every nook and cranny of the room in case there was a 'surprise' tucked inside one of the areas. So far there was nothing. Maybe she's given up... he thought to himself as he began his last examining of his closet. For closet monsters. Or in this case, closet seducers. Usually the first sign that someone's went off the deep end.

Open. Close. Open. Close. Open. Was the motion of the door as he kept checking. The woman said she was flexible so it's not far-fetched that she could fit in the most cramp place! After another series of opening and shutting the door, he decided to screw it and leave the door open.

It was getting late, the clock read 11:30. Stalker or no stalker, he is [b]not[/b] going to bed dirty. Quickly, he went into the bathroom, which was checked before hand because he is obsessive compulsive, and managed to take a flash shower. Sure, he stuck his head out every time he heard the slightest disturbance and kept on saying 'I know you're there!' even though no one was in the premises. Like we said, he is slowly succumbing to his insane attempts to avoid her. Not to mention it was a bad attempt.

Minutes seemed like hours as he kept an eye on the door that separates him and the hotel hallway. He knew it's going to open. He just knew it! In his mind, he can see her coming in, being as 'open' as ever. And the fact that mostly everyone else in the area is asleep and quiet, that just made the situation even tenser. This was driving him mad; mad enough for him to lose sleep and open doors like he's expecting some sort of discovery to be on the other side, followed with a "AHA. YOU WERE THERE! NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!" proclamation. He actually did that as he peered out into the hallway, the custodian giving him the 'WTF, sir?' look as she finished cleaning the rest of the hotel before her shift was over.

Finally, he gave up and left his post. He didn't even bother closing the door because he was too tired to notice. As he sat on his bed, he stared straight ahead at the blank wall. The time inched itself as slow as it can as the quiet of the room was tearing at his insides at the moment. Insomnia is now the second bitch that claimed his being, forcing him to take drastic measures in order to fall asleep.

Since there were no sleeping pills in the area, he had to settle with drinking the rest of the sangaree that was left on his night stand. Forgetting it was spiked more than it was suppose to be, he drank it down in one shot. Smart.

As he lied down, staring at the ceiling, he kept uttering (and slurring) in Spanish that no one was out there and he should just relax for once. Great, now he's talking to himself. He's definitely lost it.

His eyes tried to make a picture as he spot a shadow peered from the other side, making its way into the room. 'Oh no...' was the only thought of the moment as the shadow began to show its owner.

And the door was closed shut.

The morning after, he couldn't recall anything. And this is why we mix drinks and women together, kids. His head pounded so much it felt as if it were bound to explode at any moment. And he [i]swore[/i] that he wore a pair of pants to bed but instead was stripped to the bare minimum of his boxers. Even those seemed like they were tousled off before. 'Miedra..." he cursed as he wobbled his way off the bed, tripping over a pair of crumpled pants on the floor. A piece of paper was shoved aside as the pants shifted from its position; it caught his attention and he opened it up to read it.

"That was three strikes~" it read in a pretty font, her scent enveloping his sense as he tried to put the words into meaning. As he looked hard at the phrase, it all made sense to him. The game was like a game of chance. She saw him a total of three times. He always seemed to lose the 'round' of the encounter and that counted a strike. "Heh, three strikes..." he smirked and ripped the paper as he kept repeating the phrase like he's lost it. "Ha! Three. Strikes..."

And he's out.

Tekken 6 in Houston arcade 2/29

There is no official arcade U.S. release for Tekken 6, but Planet Zero in Houston has an international version and having an opening tomorrow night.

I hope I am not the only Dragunov fan in here. The scars on his face make him look edgy and sinister. He looks impeccable in his military uniforms. I just saw a few video game snippets of Dragunov in Tekken 6 where is actually fighting shirtless/bare chested. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that. I knew under that uniform was a nicely sculpted body. He also has a scar on his left side similar to that of Kazuya's scar on his chest. I am just simply counting the days when Tekken 6 lands in my neck of the woods.

International version is finally out today in korea.
I've played quite a while and noticed that
there are some changes from the jap versions.

BIG change i saw was when i did A.King db3
where it hit but the opponent just slided away from me (no air juggles).
From what i heard from namco is that the version we got
today is the newest version out there.

The game was pretty good while we changed the
setting to +1 life. Juggle + wall damages weren't bad
at all. I thought the game lasted as much as DR or
even more.

Not much too say except D.Jin wasn't as strong as expected
(played with the best mishimas in korea). I thought
bob and leo was MUCH harder to play against even knowing
there moves. (I abused like 2-3 moves and won easily
most of the times.) It's only day 1 here so nothing to
say about balance yet.

ADDITION I FORGOT TO ADD.
There is this bot character called "Nancy" during arcade single play mode.
Comes out on bonus stage. It's big in size and his lifebar is HUGE!.
I guese it's really different from jap version. maybe internationl bonus?
or new patched version?

Whether you win or lose (haven't seen anybody beat it)
goes on to next stage.

Doesn't block any moves.
But has huge lifebar (like maybe 10times normal?)
Can't juggle, attacks even when he's getting hit.

Missiles, Lasers, etc.
Maybe after you beat him you might get a bonus item??
Nobody has beaten him yet

After Jack-5 had returned from collecting combat data at the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, it returned to G Corporation’s laboratory where Jane proceeded to run advanced combat algorithms based on its research.

Soon afterwards, war between the Mishima Financial Group and G Corporation broke out. And just as large numbers of production model Jacks were being dispatched to all parts of the world, unconfirmed reports stated that the Mishima Financial Group had drawn up plans of their own to imitate the killer robots.

The audacity of someone coping her Jack angered Jane greatly; thus, she sent Jack-6, the newest Jack, to investigate the incoming reports.

Roger Jr.

Mrs. Roger and Roger Jr. entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 to look for Mr. Roger who had been missing.

After all their perseverance, they had finally found him indulging himself in a carefree life of elegance without an ounce of family responsibility on his mind. Disgusted with what had become of her husband, Mrs. Roger divorced him right then and there.

[The former] Mrs. Roger and Roger Jr. had become members to a fatherless home, and times were tough. Just then, an announcement about the King of Iron Fist Tournament was made, and so for the purpose of living a rich and stable life for themselves, [The former] Mrs. Roger and Roger Jr. decided to take part in the tournament once again.

New profiles for Bryan, Ganryu, Julia, Hwoarang, Baek, Devil Jin, and Mokujin. Profiles came out for Roger Jr. and Jack-6 as well, but they have not been translated yet. I'll post those when they're up at TZ.

I'm telling you now: Some major stuff happened in Hwoarang's T5 story, and DJ's is just two short lines.

Bryan Fury

After getting his hands a perpetual generator, Bryan Fury decided to join the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 for the purpose of testing its efficiency. However, Yoshimitsu’s repeated meddling hindered his tests and hopes of unlocking its ultimate power, greatly frustrating Bryan. Soon afterwards, Bryan began destroying everything in sight.

Driven by rage, he joined various battlefields the world over, indiscriminately leveling this and that to rubble; however, he soon grew tired of the sameness of it all.

Around that time, he caught wind of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6’s announcement. Feeling it was better suited for his frenzied appetite, he headed in its direction.

Ganryu

During the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Ganryu lost his way and accidentally stumbled into the research laboratory of the Mishima Financial Group, and in the laboratory he found the disc containing data for the Reforestation Program. Believing he finally had what was needed in order for Julia to accept his proposal of marriage, he presented the disc. But it was only the disc that she accepted.

Afterwards, Ganryu returned to Hawaii and established a restaurant [specializing in Sumo cuisine] called Chanko Paradise; however, his restaurant didn’t take off as he had hoped. Around that time, it was announced that the King of the Iron Fist Tournament would be held once again, seeing this as an opportunity to promote Chanko Paradise, Ganryu, decided to participate in the tournament to do just that.

Julia Chang

After recovering her lost data, Julia Chang completed the research needed Reforestation program and returned to her home of Arizona to meet with the individual helping her to implement it.

A much older woman who was a property owner of a large area of Arizonian land waited for Julia upon her return—it was said that this woman could hear the voices of spirits. This woman offered to help Julia make her dreams of reforestation to become a reality, but before they parted, the woman told Julia of an ill-fated prophecy, “The Devil is sure to return from Hell, should Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima ever cross paths. These two must not be allowed to fight.”

Julia was doubtful about the prophecy, but while on a flight home she heard an announcement for the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 had been made. The woman’s words were becoming a reality, and so Julia decided to enter the tournament.

Hwoarang

In Tekken 5 Hwoarang faced Jin and defeated him. While Jin was lying on the ground suddenly he roars paranormally, produces a gale that blows Hwoarang away. From Jin's back 2 black wings spread and Jin stands up with the his devil form. Hwoarang is at his wits end - he is not able to fight back Jin and soon he is knocked unconscious. When Hwoarang wakes up he founds himself in the hospital. Nearby he sees Baek standing as a visitor. Hwoarang hears the details from Baek. He ignores his nurse, tries to move from his bed, falls down in order to beseech Baek to make him stronger.After leaving the Hospital, Hwoarang starts training with unprecedented devoutness in order to defeat the "paranormal" Jin. Thus with the announcement of "King of Iron Fist" tournament 6 he repairs to the tournament.

Baek Doo San

Baek entered "King of Iron Fist" tournament 5 along with his disciple Hwoarang. However Baek withdrew from the tournament, when he found out that Hwoarang lost from his rival Jin and was seriously injured. He (Baek) then rushed to the hospital to visit Hwoarang. Although Hwoarang's condition wasn't considered as something serious after his treatment, he wouldn't wake up and Baek started blaming himself for being an inadequate instructor.

It took 3 days for Hwoarang to regain consciousness. They discussed the details and Hwoarang told Baek that not only he has to recover, but to strengthen himself even further.

Baek sensed his strong will and his unprecedented modesty and hence he decided to teach him everything he knows. Baek & Hwoarang returned to Korea, and endeavoured to practise intensely. Eventually the announcement of "King of Iron Fist" Tournament 6 came from the Mishima Zaibatsu and Baek decided to enter the tournament one last time, to widen his personal experience-collection.

Mokujin

Mokujin is a training dummy made from a 2,000-year-old oak tree. Sensing evil’s presence, Mokujin once again sets out to save the world

Devil Jin

Devil’s blood (the Devil gene) rules over Jin. The power he wields is none other than Devil’s.
