| About: | Hello! Welcome to Dance All Night: American Dreams Icontest. As you can see, this is an icon contest for the show, American Dreams. Each week a picture, lyric, or base will be provided for icon makers to create icons and win awards. RULES 1. Please be courteous to everyone 2. No stealing people's work 3. You may submit up to 2 icons for each challenge unless otherwise stated 4. Do not post your submitted icons until the challenge is over 5. Icons must meet LJ's standards (at least 100x100, 40kb) 6. Do not vote for yourself HOW IT WORKS Each week, I will post a challenge. You have a week to submit an icon (using both the img src & url). At the end of the week, all submissions are round up and everyone gets to vote. A winner will be delcared after voting is done and a new challenge will come up. VOTING Order does matter. Due to some problems in the past, I've decided to go with weighted voting. Meaning, that when you vote in first, second, and third place order, each vote is awarded a certain amount of points. In this case, first place gets 3 points, second place gets 2 points, and third place gets 1 point. The person with the most points, wins. I've also decided that if you've submitted more than one icon into a challenge, only one of your icons can win. For example, if your icon wins first place, your other icon may not tie or win second or third place. This is to make it fair for everyone and to encourage a variety of winners. TIMELINE Monday - Friday: Icons will be submitted Saturday - Sunday (7 p.m.): Voting Sunday Night/Monday: Winners are announced and a new challenge appears. NOTE: You do not need posting access! You will simply reply to the designated journal entry with your icon. Comments will be screened so that only you and I can see them. Please do not email me for posting access, you will not get it.
