I was wondering how they'd translate it, because the German translation of "The Corpse Bride" - "Die Leichenbraut" doesn't really work. You know how some direct translations don't.
(I also wonder how they'll end up translating "Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest" because the original film was translated as "Fluch der Karibik" - "Curse of the Caribbean", which worked, but now the "brand name" is "Pirates of the Caribbean" and the sequel might not be about a curse anymore.... if it is, they can just call it "Fluch der Karibik - Der Schatz des Toten" - "Curse of the Caribbean - Treasure of the Dead".)
But anyway - the German title for The Corpse Bride IS *drumroll*
"Tim Burton's Corpse Bride - Hochzeit mit einer Leiche" - "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride - Wedding with a Corpse".
Hm.
