FLEAS....gross

Hello all! I need some advice/personal experience. My husband & I moved to a different apartment in January, and almost immediately my boys got fleas. Our apartment is right next to a large wooded area (like 15 feet from our door), and there are literally dozens of stray cats who live in the woods & our parking lot. We never once had a problem with fleas in the 2 years we were at our old apartment, so I'm thinking that it's bad because of all of the cats around here.

My question is have you found a flea treatment that works for you? We have tried frequent flea baths, flea collars, flea drops applied to their skin, etc. None of them have worked. Are we going to have to get something like Canine Advantix from our vet's office, or were you successful with any other store-bought treatments? We haven't tried flea bombing the apartment, but if that worked for you, please let me know, too. Thanks!

Hey everybody...calm down..don't answer all at once... haha

We use Advantage. I've never seen a flea on Wilson. http://www.1800petmeds.com/pselect.asp?LV=200&PG=Advantage

If you have that many fleas, I'd move on to the serious stuff from your vet. It's about $10 or so per dose (once a month), but well worth it. Fleas = bad. :)

Wow only 10 bucks! I wish it was that cheap here. It's 16 bucks a single dose and almost 70bucks for a 6 packs. For Frontline and Advantage. NO FAIR!! I would suggest Frontline though I have only heard great things about it. I would bomb the house too.

You should try 1800petmeds.com or something of that nature. I know they aren't even the cheapest. All they have to do is get permission from your vet.

I think petrx.com was cheaper.

1800PetMeds goes further...

When it comes right down to it, petmeds will call your vet to obtain the prescription, they guarantee products 100% and importantly- they guarantee your complete satisfaction! Who do you know who has all these guarantees? NOT PETRX!
