vaccinations for southeast asia [11 May 2008|11:03am] I'm backpacking through southeast asia (with a week+ in India) for all of July. For those of you who've been there, what vaccinations did you get? Lonely Planet lists a lot of potential ones, but I'm not sure which ones are most essential. Getting around Cornwall [11 May 2008|08:01pm] Hello there! My friend and I are traveling to the UK from California and we're planning to spend three or four days in Southwest England (esp. Cornwall). We have the 8 day Britrail Youth Flexipass, but the trains don't reach most of the places we'd like to see. I hear the bus system is pretty thorough, so I need to find a city or two that we can stay in while we take day trips out by bus and rail. I've just about lost it trying to figure out it on my own, so if you have some tips, I'd be SO grateful! We're staying mostly in hostels, but if we gave to fork out more cash, we're willing to do so. Places we'd like to go (wish list; might be too ambitious): -Dartmoor (definitely) -Penzance -Land's End -Tintagel (definitely) -St. Michael's Mount -Standing stones of some sort Thank you thank you thank you! 4 comments|post comment
