College students just dumber this year?

They don't know where they live, have never been in a hardware store, what next?


Oh, yesterday, I saw not one but TWO idiots driving Ryder vans trying to get on to Storrow Drive from the Pike exit. luckily they both tried to race each other down the entrance ramp and bumped into each other.

Still a messy back up though.

Perhaps the Storrow entrances need not just "No Trucks" signs, but also big pictures of a U-Haul, a Ryder, and a Penske truck, each in a circle with a big red slash through it.

Good point. But there are better times than September first. The entire street was lined with moving trucks and girls whining to their parents and guys yelling about beer and Anchorman.

Thankfully, I live in Somerville and was also out of the country during the annual moving-day madhouse. Still, though, I was able to read boston.com and LJ for updates on moving trucks on Storrow and drunk/disorderly arrests.

Although in Amsterdam the students were coming back and there was also drunken madness there. Oh yeah, and these poor bastards who had to carry a couch around the city the entire weekend as part of some initiation. We saw them everywhere.

I moved July 1st. My landlord tried to get me to move September 1st. I didn't know any better and might've agreed, but it didn't work out with my old lease. Thank God.

thankfully this year we got to stay put on sept. 1st [celebration!] and actually i fled to ri for a cookout.

but when we moved the year before since we had paid first & last months rent up front, we decided to just pretend like august was "free" and pay rent simultaneously in our new place so we could move august 1st to avoid the 9/1 crap. so worth it. minus the part where i thought it would not be worth it to hire movers.

I was not making it up. I went to a state college, not one of those fancy colleges, so I am not as smart as all of you! And I live in Revere, and I'm from Everett, so that's what fifty points off my IQ right there.

What find, I was coming back from a doctor's appointment. I saw the four trucks at the intersection of Cambridge St, and Storrow Drive and I knew something bad was going to happen. The two trucks were on the Pike exit ramp and when the light turned they raced to the entrance ramp.

I wish I had started taking pictures when the two trucks turned on the entrance ramp. But the Motion van shot past me, and hit the back of the truck on the left.

I should have put in arrows or something.
