Please remember to read the rules completely before posting! You are NOT allowed to post just your friend code! Unless you post something along with it to give it more beef (cataloged items for trade, searching for certain items, etc.), do all the sort of "My gates are open!" at the community dedicated to just that:

ALSO: Please be careful of the users you trade with and/or let come to your town. There are tools you can buy that hackers can use to turn town gates and Nooks into museums - see this post for the list of known "prankers".

The original community for Animal Crossing: Wild World for DS.

These rules apply to all members. Failure to read or familiarize yourself with them will not go in your favor should an issue arise. Ignorance is no excuse! So read on. Repeated violations will ultimately cost you your membership and get you banned!

1. It is agreed that you are mature enough to handle yourself in a public forum. Failure to prove this may result in your banishment from the community. This means no drama, no flaming, and no racial slurs.

2. Advertisements for other communities and/or events must be approved by a moderator. Failure to be approved will result in the post being deleted. Posting an ad with false approval will get you banned, period.

3. Long posts, big pictures, or content that could be considered rated PG-13 or above must be placed under an LJ Cut or risk deletion.

4. This community is primarily about the DS game, but we'll accept posts about the Gamecube game in moderation. Do not contain your excitement about the potentially upcoming Wii Animal Crossing game, we all want to gush about it too! ;)

5. Do not screen or disable comments on your posts. Do not delete your posts. This will make the mods very angry.

6. Before asking questions, please check the memories or previous posts. Repeat questions will be deleted. You must be a member of this communtiy to access memories.

7. Please refrain from using profanity. You don't need to use it to get a point across.

8. Please fill out this form to submit your friend code, town, and name. This place is also the place to add any rules your town may have while there are others visiting. If you have already posted and would like to add a rule, please delete your original comment and comment again.

9. It is assumed that your good behavior will flow over into other people's towns. Unless you have prior permission, do not leave immature notes on people's bulletin boards, dig up their turnips, chop down their trees, or otherwise "ruin" their town. If you are caught and the person can provide proof, you may be unfriended by many and earn a strike or risk banning, depending upon severity and wishes from the person who's town you have offended.

10. Posts that contain only your friend code, without anything substantial, will be deleted upon sight and you will be warned. Do that sort of thing over at

wildworld_gates. Posting your friend code is acceptable if: you're announcing an event; you're announcing a competition; you're looking for turnip prices/announcing turnip prices (see:

stalk_market); displaying your catalog for trading/catswap purposes; displaying a list of "wanted" items and offers for trade... so on, so forth. Basically, it needs to have more meat than just 'Here's my friend code!' If you're still wondering about what might or might not be acceptable, speak to a moderator.

11. Each time you break a rule, you earn a strike. You are first warned, and placed on the strike list, from there you get 3 strikes. After your third strike, you are banned.

12. Don't use words that you wouldn't use in front of your bible-thumping grandmother. I don't care if you DON'T have a bible-thumping grandmother, pretend you do. Use some common sense, don't use offensive words in a "joking" manner, don't start drama. You WILL be given strikes for your actions, possibly even banned.

13. Additionally, this community abides by the Livejournal Terms of Services, being a superset of the community rules themselves.
