Mischief Managed is an original character, contemporary Harry Potter RPG currently seeking talented writers. We are a unique community of original characters that still respect the canon laws of the Harry Potter universe. We value in-depth character development and mature writers (Mary-Sues and self-inserts will not be considered.) This is an HP board for dedicated writers and storytellers that enjoy collaborating with their fellow 'students' to create their own history.

We welcome people to apply for professors, as Mischief Managed is one of the few boards that holds active classes in any and all Hogwarts subjects, but we are also looking for students of all houses and ages. Luna’s Call is a Non-Canon Alternate Universe based on the Anita Blake Series. Did you ever wonder what happens in the Anitaverse Else where in the world? Well here’s your chance. Luna’s Call is set in Miami Florida. A city with just as much life at night as there is by day, maybe even more.

It‘s Midnight in Miami. The sun had set hours ago and all the creatures of the night have come out to play. Play being the operative word here. The world is their playground and has been for hundreds of years. Fangs and fur stalking the night . Inspiring many greatly written books and movies of today. Creatures many thought to be fiction. Purely make believe, have come out of hiding and into society.

A new law is about to be passed and all the make believe beasties will have the same rights as all of us regular folk. Almost. Vampires and Lycanthropes will be legal citizens. They will own business and pay rent just like everyone else. Like they have done for hundreds of years only now they will be branded. But mankind holds a certain discriminatory nature towards many new things. Even if these new things aren’t so very new in the first place.

Can you handle being tossed into a world where Monsters; Vampires, Were-thingies and beasties of all kinds are real true and in the flesh.? Everything you were taught not to fear. Everything you were told was not real. Everything you knew before today was a lie. A misdirection to keep the mysterious creatures safe from man kinds destructive nature. Can you handle it? Only one way to find out for sure, and that way is to step into our world and find out……

People could not believe the survivors' reports. Stories of their incredible experiences and of strange biological weapons and zombies were beyond the townsfolks' imagination. Now it's spreading...and they're starting to believe it themselves.

Welcome to The Weekly Metropolitan, a multi-fandom, AU roleplay. What's with this place, you ask? Your character now lives in the prosperous and creatively named city of Metropolis and has decided to get a job in the journalism business. This is the office of love, fluff, drama, ~~and violence~~ etcetera, all rolled into one. Your objective? Get the paper out every week.

Plop your character in the midst of a hellish workplace, and they'll end up praying for mercy during the ungodly hours of Saturday night, praying for the holy Sunday morning to come and for those bicycle-riding kids to take your stuff and throw hundreds (maybe even thousands) of copies of your hard work into the driveways of sleeping civilians. During your (few-ish) off hours, you're free to explore the city and take advantage of the many things it has to offer. Welcome to the Weekly Met.

This is a slash friendly RPG, but is not limited solely to slash, we have, and welcome het role playing as well as slash and femme slash. This RPG was conceived originally as a follow-on from another RP, Court of the Rose, which was a Tudors RP. The characters were all going to be essentially shifted forward approx. 500 years, a reincarnation if you will. As such, King Henry VII, is now Henry King, CEO of a large company, Sir Thomas More, is now Thomas More QC. The idea behind the RP has snowballed, and as such the premise is altered slightly.

We therefore welcome any and all new members, original characters or Tudors reincarnations, to participate in a real life RP community. There are two mods for the community, and we run a pretty free reign on it, allowing creativity, essentially just keeping the game in check. The RP is conducted in threads, with an intro given before an LJ cut. Every two weeks, a mod will post a bulletin, informing the entire comm where each character is in their own storylines, allowing for new plot lines to be invented and implemented through discussions with all members.

We operate an open application system, your application is submitted onto an unlocked thread on the community, and each current member of the community is entitled to ask questions about your application, and each member has a voting right on each application. Mod decision, is however, final.

What would you do if you suddenly woke up as a Pokémon?

You can do just about anything; join an exploration or rescue team, hunt for treasure, stop outlaws, become an outlaw yourself, simply help contribute to society- whatever you can think of. After all, with the disappearance of Palkia and the two heroes that stopped the planet's cessation along with the very fabric of Time-Space out of balance, your stay in this world may be a while.

Spacial Rend is a multifandom RPG set in the world of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2. Characters will find themselves not only in a brand new place, but in a completely different form- a Pokémon. Along with those found in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, players may play as a character from any fandom transformed into a Pokémon or they may even play as a Pokémon owned by a trainer in the anime, game, or manga series. Although this RP takes place after the events of PMD2, prior knowledge of the game isn't required to play. We've just started, so please take a look!

	THE END
	The earth is gone. A year and a half ago you, and the rest of the world, learned that everything you thought you knew about the world, the galaxy and the universe . . . was wrong. We aren't alone in the universe and while all the aliens out there weren't out to get us, there were more than a few who were. In the mass hysteria and martial law following the revelation, other information leaked out: the earth was under attack, the survival of humanity was at risk and the world powers had secret plans in place to save a remnant of the population and save humanity from certain extinction. You were one of the few, either chosen by your rank and station or randomly via lottery, to go through the stargate, an advanced alien device that afforded nearly simultaneous transportation between worlds, to a lifeboat colony. There, alongside 7500 others, you would begin to rebuild human civilization.
	THE BEGINNING
	You are part of the remnant of earth's population, surviving and rebuilding at the lifeboat colony known as Gamma Site. Though earth is gone, there is a stargate at your disposal and thousands of unexplored worlds at your fingertips.
	THE GAME

It's 1953, the wold war is over, but the battles we face as people continue. What defines us? The life we live or the choices we make? Are they really that different? Who decides our value in this world? Why do they get to judge?

Japan had always been an intriguing place to Westerners, and ever since WWII ended, they've been coming in one after the other. Some to visit, some to stay. Many choose to stay in a larger city, but there are a few who have decided to make a home in the city of Iiota. A town that's been out of the eye for centuries now is being sought after for it's culture. However with the arrival of new blood comes the changing of that culture. And with change comes failure to accept it.

Western women have come into town wishing to capitalize on their twist of the geisha life. So far they have put a serious dent in the history of geisha. While some applaud their spin on the tradition of geisha, others find it horrendous, a rape of Japanese culture all for profit. They consider the women to be nothing but whores in kimonos; no better than the prostitutes.

The okiya of Aoi Sasoon is a real traditional geisha house that finds its Western competition/imitation to be a disgrace, while its once floundering competition is trying to compete with the Western companion houses by becoming more liberal themselves. This disgusts the geisha of Sasoon's house. Even the prostitutes are claiming to have upped their standards as to appear more like true geisha. Classy prostitutes, the geisha seriously doubt that.

Each house has its loyal patrons and its patrons who have yet to stick to a girl or house. It’s a battle for money, bragging rights, and fancy titles, while the regular townspeople, foreign or not, are in the middle of this cultural and innovative clash. This isn’t an attempt at a renaissance; it’s an attempt at all out war of pride.

IT WAS TOO LATE

The world has changed drastically from that of what anyone remembers, and it is far worse than anyone could have imagined. Though for a few months the right wing evangelicals swore up and down it was the second coming of their Lord and that they had been warning of this very day for so long. For the FOH (Friends Of Humanity) this was just the outcome of the human race working too slowly to purify the world of it's messed up DNA. For those sane enough to understand what was going on, to really see the truth behind the mess of the world - it was just another day for the world to end. Another day to be a hero...except that day stretched into years.

THE GAME

If you miss comic based X-Men, and enjoy mature (often dark themed) game play, then this game might be exactly what you've been looking for in an X-Men RPG. We're looking for active writers with active imaginations and a willingness to work well with others.

Don't think you have to be a mutant, if you have a dark side that has always wanted to rip into the mutant DNA just to see what really makes them tick, maybe you'd be more happy with the Purifiers - who seem to be very happy raiding and slaughtering when they aren't experimenting.

It's the first year after Voldemort and things seem to be back to normal. The students have just finished their NEWTs and now must tackle the real world. Minister of Magic - Kingsley Shacklebolt - has been taken down in a Vote of No Confidence and faces a tough re-election campaign against none other than Narcissa Malfoy. Ministry workers are under the influence of Imperio. Fenrir Greyback and the Lestranges continue to elude the Aurors and new attacks have begun. Dark magic is showing up in Muggle London! Will the Wizarding World find itself in the middle of a civil war before the wounds of Voldemort's reign are healed?

Want to be a 'good guy' without being made weak and helpless? Want to indulge in being a 'bad guy' without being frozen out of RPing? Year One AV might be just the RP home you are looking for. Relationships from DH are not set in stone, One AV is not Epilogue compliant and we are open to active, adult interaction. We are seeking active players for canon characters who enjoy developing story lines over time.

Ginny and Luna miss their friend, Neville Longbottom, especially now that Dumbledore's Army might need to be reactivated, and Katie misses her Oliver!. The Weasley family isn't complete without Molly and Arthur! Hogwarts needs Minerva, Hagrid, and more to help with the reconstruction effort being raised by Cho and Penny!
