Mod Post : Rules and Regulations
Hello again! Long time no hear, eh? I should warn you that you are all about to be deluded with modly posts, so I suggest you get used to them – and also, read them all. Because we won't be going easy on mistakes caused due to lack of reading.

So. The point of this particular modly post is to reiterate, reinforce and recapitulate The Rules. (I just took the SATs, could you tell? ;) ) This is more of a routine procedure than anything, it's always good to remind people of the rules, especially for new members who might not be familiar with them. But we, the moderators of the community – myself (Heidi, oof_floof) and Nicole (strangelyshaded)) – are, as you might have realized, tightening some of these rules up, and also, we will be adding a few more in the interest of keeping this community running smoothly and efficiently.

The Rules are as follows:

1// Please make sure you are a fan of Vam or Ville Valo/Bam Margera
This is a Community for fans of Ville Valo/Bam Margera. If you join it might help that you are in fact a fan of them. As a couple or as friends.

2// This is not only a slash community
You can post news about Vam here to. We are quite interested in their lives, really! Pictures, articles, scans, and updates on their lives are more than welcome. However, please check the community before posting up things such as tour dates or new pictures. We do not want hundreds of posts in a row about the same thing – superfluous posts will be deleted.

3// Please only post things relating to Ville/Bam
Although we do find that huge bug you crushed today quite an interesting story, this is a Ville/Bam community and we would like it to stay one. Pictures of the boys on irrelevant or off-topic posts will not redeem them, and we will not hesitate in deleting these posts without another word on the subject.

4// Please post large pictures/large groups of pictures/large groups of words[a.k.a. writing] behind lj cuts
This is, of course, simply to reduce flooding of friends pages. If you are unsure on how to make an LJ cut, visit [HTML How To's] or [LJ FAQ – How To Make an LJ Cut]

5// Don't post several different chapters of your story simultaneously in one day
Although we really do encourage you posting you're stories, and you writing 70 chapters a day, please don't post them all in a continuous row. If you are going to continue writing try to save all the chapters for one post, spreading the posting over days, or consider starting up a writing journal please. Multiple posts of chapters of the same story will be deleted after a notification to the author. You have been warned. This is, of course, for the sake of the friends lists.

6// Introduction, hiatus, and goodbye posts are welcome
Even if you have no pictures to show it's a good introduction to the community members :) We don't, however need to know that you live in barren Wyoming Farmland just south of Route 73 and that some of your favorite lyrics are as follows. Please refrain from posting about your weekend away unless on a post that is already going up for your story. Hiatus posts should be restricted for instances of prolonged absence, for instance for more than a week. As for leaving posts – please don't state every single reason for your departure or rip on every single person that may ever have done something wrong. It's not necessary to 'go out with a bang.' A simple goodbye will most likely suffice – your personal journals are a more appropriate place for rants and vendettas.

7// You may pimp your community here
However don't make a huge link or a big scene about it, with font size 7 and scrolling marquees. Tell us what the community is about, and ABSOLUTELY NO RATING COMMUNITIES. If you promote your community and don't post something related to slash, Vam, HIM or Bam strangelyshaded or oof_floof will delete it.

8// Please, No Hate
We will not tolerate homophobes,racists,sexists, or hate against any group of people. Hate against a certain person [members of this group, or people close to Ville and Bam], or hate against members in this group. It is here to celebrate a friendship/love not to spread hate. If you ever have any problems with this please contact the moderators

9// Make sure the lemon's and the pancakes get along
We believe in everyone's right to free speech – basically, please respect each others opinions. Because if you don't it's a crazy vicious cycle. And vicious cycles aren't fun. Direct attacks of other people's opinions or ideas will not be tolerated – severe cases will lead to expulsion from the community. Please make any discussion of ideas and opinions polite, considerate and respectful. If you see instances of disrespect or attacks, or are subject to them yourself, please contact the moderators.

10// What the mods say, goes
The moderators of __vam Heidi (oof_foof) and Nicole (strangelyshaded). They are here for a reason: to keep everything running smoothly, and to make sure everyone has a good time. If – when in the capacity of moderator – they tell you to do something, please make sure you do it. Should there be any problems with the moderators' conduct, or any questions or concerns about the community, please do not hesitate to please contact them privately.

11// If you think we'll delete it, don't post it
If you have to put "I'm not sure if this is allowed… Mods delete if it isn't…" on a post, chances are it will be deleted. Please, just save us all the time and energy and don't post it. Refer to numbers 2, 3 and 4 to remind yourself what is or isn't allowed on the community. Remember that there are other communities more suited to searching for songs, begging for a concert buddy or sharing pictures of your latest birthday cake, and that we will delete anything that isn't directly related to Vam or the boys' lives.

12// Don't Steal from us
The graphics, rules, and terms were created by the moderators unless otherwise mentioned. Please don't steal from us. If you use anything created by anyone in this community you MUST credit the creator. We did this for you guys and it's just plain bitchy to pimp it as your own. Any story or written work is the sole property of the author. Plagiarism is wrong and will not be tolerated in any way, shape or size. If your work has been plagiarized, please please contact the moderators and the situation will be dealt with.

13// For the kids
R and NC-17 rated content is permitted on __vam. However, in accordance with LJ's policies, we must insist that all adult-orientated material is placed behind a clearly marked LJ-cut, and that a warning is clearly placed on the post. Posts containing adult-rated material - above a PG-13 - must be friendlocked!. Adult-orientated posts without friendlocks will be deleted without prior warning. Short of enforcing moderated membership and removing all under-aged members from the community, we must ask that all members under the age of 15 refrain from reading or posting adult-orientated material (which, in English, means smut or sex scenes). We will not take responsibility for anyone under the age of 15 caught reading, writing or posting smut.




In an attempt to keep the community on topic and in control, we, the moderators, suggest strict adherence to the rules above. Dissention will not be tolerated, mercy will not be given, no matter the circumstances. We reserve the right to delete any post or comment we see fit to.
