It's the beginning of the end and I know that I am all alone.” - Spineshank Beginning of the end A city lies behind a great wall, seemingly empty but this isn’t any ordinary city. It is Ash Valley, a city owned by the Umbrella Corporation and used for experimentation. It resembles Raccoon city in structure but unlike Raccoon city, Ash Valley is unpopulated…at the moment. This soon changes as the Umbrella Corporation begins their most complex experiment. With their most advanced technology and highly trained agents, the corporation begins rounding up people to begin their experimentations. Some of these people are your average every day Joes, some of them are supernatural creatures, some of them aren’t even from this time or this world. They are all gathered together and left in Ash Valley. Why? So that the Umbrella Corporation can observe and experiment on them but these test subjects aren’t alone. Bodies infected with the T-virus have also been placed in the city. Here are the facts: Stuff you need to know for the game +The Umbrella Corporation has brought you to a city called Ash Valley using various means. You might not remember the exact who and how but what you do remember is a group of agents dressed in black capturing you and injected a red liquid into your arm, knocking you out. When you wake up you find yourself in the center of the city. +Ash Valley appears deserted at first but you’ll quickly learn that there are others in the city much like yourself, kidnapped and dropped here without any reason. These people will be from all walks of life and from various times and places in history. Some of them are heroes, some of them are killers, and some of them are just confused. +There are other creatures within Ash Valley as well. These are Zombies. There are not a huge number of them but there’s enough to cause trouble. + Throughout your stay in Ash Valley the Umbrella Corporation will be experimenting on you and generally fucking with you…all in the name of science of course. +Your goal? To stay alive as long as possible but the city is dangerous and the people around even more so. You cannot trust anything or anyone here so thread lightly. Just so we’re clear: This is a horror game that is loosely based on the first and second Resident Evil movies. It does not follow Resident Evil cannon exactly and it doesn’t have any ties to the video games. This is a multi-fandom game so characters from almost any genre and fandom are allowed. There are a few fandoms that are not allowed in this game and they are: Anime Harry Potter WANTED **These are characters/roles that have been requested by players for specific for plots with their characters. 5:59pm: Beyond the Darkness

The Premise

Voldemort is dead – has been for almost seven years now – the war should have been over that night long ago when Harry Potter did what no one dared believe he would do. The war, however, didn't end, but went on. Regrouping under Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange, the Death Eaters kept fighting and with the Ministry gone and the Minister for Magic killed, the wizarding world was thrown into chaos. From this chaos, two new factions were born. One group (under the leadership of Minerva McGonagall) wanted to open wizarding society to a decidedly suspicious Muggle world, whilst the others wanted to close off the wizarding world completely from Muggle influence and seek strength in isolation. With a brutal attack destroying Diagon Alley that left a part of London burning, the two factions of light realised that they must start working together to defeat the Death Eaters. The game began at this turning point of the war - the point where the side of light finally has a chance to win. But there is still a long way to go. Can these two factions put aside their differences to finally win this war, or will they dissolve into their own fighting, giving the Death Eaters a chance to overcome? Which side will your character support?

The Game

Beyond the Darkness RPG is a role-playing game based on the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. The setting takes place seven years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ends but is canon compliant only to Half Blood Prince (as the game began before the release of book seven). If you're looking for a game where player influence on the main plot is high and the moderators are willing to listen to your suggestions, then this is the game for you. One year running and still going strong, we see a bright future for the game. With plot-lines running far beyond the end of the war, we're not going anywhere for a long while. We are looking for creative and active players who want to build a story for their characters in this far from perfect world. All levels of experience are welcome, from the players who have never played an RPG before, to those who have played for several years. You must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Game officially started on February 2nd 2007.

The Characters

At the moment we're actively looking to recast several important characters, as well as seeking those we feel could develop the over all game. The list of available characters is still large and varied however, so don't hesitate to take a look. Among those we're seeking to recast are: Rodolphus Lestrange, Draco Malfoy, Bill, Charlie and Arthur Weasley...as well as several others. Examples of other needed characters would be Lee Jordan, Rita Skeeter or another canon character who is involved with the media in some way as this world is in great need of some way to spread news. We're also looking for a Death Eater who could function as a spy within Upper Slaughter. This needs to be someone who could be recruited by Severus (so someone who trusts him), and also someone clever enough to manoeuvre around Rodolphus and Bellatrix - which is not an easy task.

A DH-Compatible 7th Year Game CHARACTER LIST ¦¦ APPLICATION ¦¦ RULES ¦¦ F.A.Q. ¦¦ TAKEN PBS ¦¦ MOD JOURNAL ¦¦ GAME ¦¦ OOC With Severus Snape as the new Headmaster, most students knew right away that Hogwarts had changed for the worse, but few were able to imagine the horrors that awaited them during that long and torturous year. The changes began with merely a shift in atmosphere, a cold graveness that pervaded the castle and a new, mandatory class in Muggle Studies. As the sixth and seventh years began a new year, they must prepare not only to pass their NEWTs, but to curse disobedient first years in Defense Against the Dark Arts, glorify the superiority of wizardkind in Muggle Studies, be punished for dissent written in their private letters, and, most importantly, to stand up and fight against a new, Death Eater-controlled administration. Now returning from their winter holidays, the atmosphere of the school has grown even more grim. Luna Lovegood disappered when the train landed in London several weeks ago. The meals at Hogwarts will now be segregated according to blood purity (and obedience to the Carrows, in the case of mudblood-lovers). The practical work in the Dark Arts classes will grow even more evil, with the students order to practice hexes and curses against fellow students. Dumbledore's Army will begin to recruit, and the lines of loyalties will be drawn darker as push comes to shove, and everyone must take a side. ---------- This is a seventh year trio era Deathly Hallows-compliant game that has just entered JANUARY 1998. THIS IS A GAME THAT WILL BE PLAYED TO THE LAST BATTLE. Please be advised that the cast list is complete. Disenchantment focuses on the students who were left behind at Hogwarts during the end of the war.
