4:28 pm - Reapercussions: A Multifandom RP Seeking Dead and Alive Characters
|

It's not so bad... being dead like me.
Welcome to San Revereld. It's your average city with people hustling and bustling around, people rushing to their homes and their jobs, carrying on with their lives. You used to be like them, remember? You used to be happy, alive, and well.
Unfortunately for you, you're dead. Oh come on, it's not that bad. But I bet you're wondering why you're still in the city, aren't you? Well see, here's the thing. You're dead...but you haven't exactly passed on to the afterlife. No, no, it's okay! We have a job for you.
As an undead like myself, you're being recruited to be a grim reaper and collect souls. It's your job to find the souls we assign you to and remove them from their bodies before their estimated time of death. Otherwise, they’re just going to rot and waste. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. There are rules on this job. Rules, regulations, and a shitload of changes you’re going to have thrown at you. But I'll explain those later, we have to get going. The others are waiting for us.

Reapercussions is a multifandom AU game at Insanejournal. We are looking for characters from anime, manga, and video games, both alive and undead. We want a good balance of both kinds of people! The game is just getting started so we have a myriad of characters available! Friendly mods and active players. We have no age limit but there will be mature themes such as violence, homosexuality, and of course death. We feel that as long as a player feels they can handle such issues, there is no issue.
If interested, go ahead and check us out! Contact one of the mods for more information. Ty-Livejournal-cosmic_rockstar, AIM-ShoeboxTyorama, email-cosmic_rockstar@hotmail.com Yami-Livejournal-murdoc, AIM-villains vale, email-rendmyheart@gmail.com

Atra Viscus, an AU anime/videogame roleplay.
The world is plagued with everlasting night because of the constant darkness that shrouds the people's hearts.
The vampires feed on unsuspecting humans as means for survival, but constantly search, spurred by strange rumors, for a way to become humans themselves. The hunters try very hard to get rid of the vampires based on orders from their leader... orders which are not to be questioned.
The character you apply for is required to be in one of four sects in Atra Viscus: Vampires, Half Vampires, Hunters and Humans. A constant battle is going on between the vampires and hunters and it is up to you to decide how your character will affect this battle.
Which path will you choose? ...Will it even be the right one?

 | { Croatoan. } A brand new multifandom game set in a small Canadian town in Ontario, called Sioux Lookout. Any fandom is accepted, just so long as the fandom is of the horror, thriller, action, fantasy genre. Inspired by the episode from Supernatural. Very similar to that episode, with the twist of being captured and put in a town full of dangerous creatures. | { Storyline. } Remember that old John White story from the 1500's? Same concept, except that you awaken alone, confused and unknown to your whereabouts. There is barely anybody in the town, but the people that you do find... are violent killers. Ghosts, demons, vampires, spirits, murderers and hunters are out there. A virus has crawled its way into the town, and the only way to stay unaffected, is to keep the infected blood from your own, or you'll become one of the violent.
Are you the hunter or the hunted?

AD VITAM AETERNAM Throughout history, in every civilization, there have been those who strive to be remembered. To live forever, in the minds and hearts of men. Or to simply live forever. Great and horrible deeds have been done, all in the name of eternity, immortality.
Our names will be revered. Our deeds will be remembered.
We refuse to be forgotten. To be lost to the winds of time. We will raise our glasses together: a toast.
To Life Everlasting.

“Reconciliation should be accompanied by justice, otherwise it will not last. While we all hope for peace it shouldn't be peace at any cost but peace based on principle, on justice.” ~Corazon Aquino
“Reconciliation is to understand both sides; to go to one side and describe the suffering being endured by the other side, and then go to the other side and describe the suffering being endured by the first side.” ~Thich Naht Hanh

Exactly one year, two weeks and two days after the final fall of Lord Voldemort, the wizarding world finds itself in a transition period. Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt places harsher restrictions on witches and wizards all over Britain. Though Hogwarts needs no further rebuilding, some restoration is still needed.
With so many changes, the British wizarding community must repair and reform their way of life or be forced back into hiding, only this time it will be from Muggles, if not from each other. Before the Trio and the other seventh and eighth year students can take on adulthood, they have to pass N.E.W.T.s, find places to live, begin apprenticeships for jobs in the future, all while adapting to new responsibilities and newfound freedoms.
As the new graduates head out into the real world, they encounter stricter laws while using magic, challenging situations in internships and apprenticeships, and even more bends and breaks along the road of reconstruction. In this post bellum society, shifts in government, jobs and societal reorganization are expected. But will the unexpected make the world go round or will it make the world stand still?
post_bellum is a brand new Post-War, Post-Deathly Hallows, non-Epilogue compliant Harry Potter Role-Playing Game.
This game starts May 19, 2008.

Are you growing tired of all those Post War games that seem to be popping up left and right now that the seventh book has been released? This game will take you back - back to when there were games where plot was the centric focus and things weren't always happy. Instead, they were serious, dark, and unknown. At Snitched, Voldemort was never defeated that night when Hogwarts went under siege. In fact, that night has yet to occur because the Death Eaters arrived at Bill and Fleur's wedding and captured many key Order members and guests in attendance. Some died, but most were imprisoned or fled somewhere safe. Since that fateful night, Voldemort has gained innumerable strength to the point where he is unstoppable. He owns the Ministry and the Wizarding World. Secretly, he owns the Muggle world and part of Europe where the Death Eaters flourish.
Now that his reign is no longer contested, he has set about putting his plans into order. Muggleborns, Halfbloods, and those that are traitors to the cause are imprisoned. Some might be allowed out as slaves, providing of course that there are Death Eaters and purebloods who want them. Those that have yet to be caught are forced to flee and hide. Those that are still pureblooded are allowed to live neutrally amongst society. They are not forced to take the mark, but they are required to obey the new law - Voldemort's Law. Their loyalty must be unwavering - if they support another cause, then they must be absolutely mum about it. But word to the wise: Don't say Voldemort's name; the word itself will surely lead to the capture of those responsible no matter what their status in society.
This game is not for the faint at heart. There will be dark themes and happiness will only be found in hidden corners or alleyways. There are those who will fight, who want Voldemort's reign to end, but doing so will take time, tears, blood, and sacrifice.

Nuclear warfare -- bombs fall, everybody dies.
However, precautions were made. Some called them overly cautious, paranoid; the scientists that made their way deep, deep underground in preparation. “You’re crazy.” And maybe they were. Maybe they thought too hard on the rumors circulating through the internet and the streets, from person to person -- not every rumor is true. But this one was scary, and had things backing it up.
Maybe it was that creeping paranoia which saved us from extinction entirely.
It was hard to survive at first; hard to grow food in the soil from down so deep. It was hard to dig down here, too, but in an alternate Earth where mining is a top priority -- getting down wasn’t so hard. They had the means.
Other things posed challenges, but with advanced technology and the smarts to get by, they did it for a few million years during the acidic heat of nuclear summer. Up topside was uninhabitable and the air so hot it was as if it itself was on fire; but down in their little hidey-hole, the scientists gave birth to a flourishing underground metropolis that took care of itself.
Almost anything that could be done up there, could be done down here, after all.
Diamond, gold and rock become the building blocks on which this society has been crafted; the simple overlooked things like stainless steel rendered priceless. (A legend. Myth.) However, the city itself is literally made up of the earth: gold and diamonds, the city of the poor combined with the city of the kings, some would say. Everything sweeps by with a painful sort of perfection.
Then, nuclear winter hits. Temperature drops to absolute zero; in startling contrast to the summer of years before, the air here is so cold it seems as though it itself is frozen. So cold it burns.
And the only thing that happens to the city down under there -- the only thing that is effected is that the giant cooling machines are swapped for heating machines. They’ve been preparing for this for two million years, and that coupled with so much development gives them the power to do this.
They sail on by as if nothing has ever changed.
However, up topside -- things are changing. They’re different. Weather is slowly, gradually turning milder and milder until the officials in charge of this place decide maybe they can risk sending some people up there. To explore and see what has happened to the place myths and tales tell of.
It’s kept a secret from the masses.
People go up and explore -- it’s still so dark up there, from all the ash still up in the atmosphere, so their delicate eyesights aren’t damaged; bright bursts of light have been known to blind tunnelers, after all. And it’s still toxic out there, so they have to suit up in gasmasks and the thick clothing because while it’s now warm enough to explore, a person has to be wrapped up pretty well to survive it for long.
Those first people? They never come back. So they send a few more poor bastards over and they never come back, either. No one knows what happened to them. And they can’t afford panic to break out in the masses of this underground place a strong hand of control has kept in line for so long; not after all of that. No, they can’t let people get rebellious with the idea of missing people so they hold a memorial service for the guys who, they assume, kicked it -- and that’s that. They tell the crying wives and husbands that they died in the name of science. Science. That’s soothing, isn’t it? They didn’t die in vain.
No, they didn’t. Suspicion and paranoia arise, and because they are afraid to send more men out, they fiddle with their ‘science’ and try to teleport them back. But it backfires.
And so, here you are. The natives certainly are more than friendly, if not a little alarmed by your presence, and you’re just about to be drafted into this place’s purpose; their ‘science’. But they’ll wait until you’re settled. After that, you just don’t have a choice. Don’t let the dirty streets and mud houses throw you off. It’s really a nice place, here.
Welcome to Rhodivon, the closest to Hell you’re ever going to get.

The year is 2001. Voldemort was defeated nearly 3 years ago, and the wizarding world is busily rebuilding.
The Death Eater threat has been eliminated, at least as far as the Ministry is concerned. Every witch or wizard who bears the Dark Mark has been hunted down and is either dead by their own hands or given the Kiss. There may be some stragglers, but the Ministry says they are so few and far between that there is no threat. The exceptions are only those who can prove they switched sides during the war. Such a pardon is rare and must be corroborated by an Order member.
Relations between Muggle and Wizard have reached an all-time high. While not fully integrated, movement between the two worlds has become much more fluid. In fact, anti-muggle sentiments are not only frowned upon, but are extremely prejudiced against.
There are even policies in place to completely eliminate the statute of secrecy and all its subsidiary policies within the next few years.
Obviously, some are excitedly looking forward to the change, and some are very much threatened by it.
Even more strangely, according to both factions, those known to be dead have been appearing. While no one seems to know the rationale, no one can deny that it is happening.
Now, the Ministry is fighting two battles. One, to encourage Muggle and Wizard interactions, and the other to define where these dead citizens belong.
Tempus Fugit is a Deathly Hallows compliant RPG. As this game begins nearly two years post war, the epilogue has not happened.
We are looking for vibrant characters with a thirst to redefine the wizarding world. Original Characters are welcome, but please be aware that certain rules apply.
This is an epic-style game. Plot arcs spanning months are welcome and encouraged!
Please take a look at our rules before applying.
Characters desperately wanted: Pansy Parkinson, Daphne and Astoria Greengrass, Theodore Nott, George Weasley, Hannah Abbot, Ernie MacMillan and many others!
For specific player-driven plots we are very much in need of Andromeda Tonks! She would step into a very active plot already beginning. Her daughter has returned, as well as her son-in-law, but neither of them remember their son!
We also need Narcissa Malfoy! Her son and late husband are in desperate need of her to stabilize their downward spirals! In addition, her cousins are both back from the dead, so she has quite a bit going on in her life!
While not listed as available or desired, we are accepting applications for those returning from the dead. However, before applying, please email the mods to discuss possibilities. Thank you.
Aurors and other Ministry officials are very much encouraged! OCs welcome!

About / Rules / Cast List / Wanted & Held / Resources / Apply
What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather?
Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings.
And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness.
Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology.
Opening May 16.

The island of Niihau is one of Hawaii's best kept secrets. Family owned, but uninhabited since the late 1960's. The Anderson family had purchased it in the 40's to open a school for Wayward Girls and Boys. But lack of funds closed the doors in 1968 and the island had been uninhabited ever since. This resorted in the island being taken over by the native Hawaiian wildlife.
Now it's 2008 and the island is fixed up and the school is running once again. The rules are strict, but it's only to help the teenagers better their life, and its pure genius being on an island far away from any place, and not way and no where to run. |

At the northern reaches of the New York metropolitan area, nestled in the state's scenic Orange County, Mercury Falls was founded 1685. Traditional, the residents pride themselves on the peaceful normality of the town. However, not everyone sees this as a good thing. Children, growing and graduating, move on to what they see as bigger and better things. With nothing to bring in new blood, Mercury Falls, having celebrated its tricentennial and then some, seemed to have been given a "use-by" date.
Mercury Falls High, once the pride of the town, was now decidedly average. In sports, they were win some, lose some. In academics, they fell comfortably somewhere in the middle of the achievement continuum. At least, that had always been the status quo, until about a year ago. The election of the new mayor brought about change. In the high school, grades started rising steadily, new classes were introduced and the Panthers had never had a better season. Grant money is rolling in and with it, new families and life. The town is once again flourishing, but for a troubling trend among certain students. As much as the town would like to deny and ignore it, at a disturbing rate, students are disappearing - going missing, committing suicide, running away.
What is going on in Mercury Falls?
Many PBs still open!
