I'm currently taking time off in between high school and college (where I will major in forensic psychology and minor in criminology, if anyone cares to know), so I have a lot more free time than I used to and would like to add some more people. Everyone I know would describe me as a very intense person, so if intensity is not your thing, we probably wouldn't get along well. I have a very black and white personality, yet I see almost everything in different shades of grey. I'm extremely devoted to the people and things I love. I'm very volatile and I feel and react to things very strongly. I place a great deal of importance on my fandoms. If fandom mentions will bother you, then don't bother adding me. I'd say my journal is an even balance between fandom and non-fandom things. I'm very into anime/manga (mostly seinen series like Death Note, Black Lagoon, Noir, Gankutsuou, et cetera) and film (action movies or thrillers, like Fight Club, 8MM, and Kill Bill), so I'll talk about that a lot. If you want a list of the anime series and film that I love, see my userinfo. As a commuter, I also read a lot and will usually mention whatever book I'm reading at the moment. I'm not really into fantasy at all, but I adore Harry Potter and am starting to get into the His Dark Materials series. Basically, I'm starting to be more open to fantasy-esque things at the insistence of my friend. :]. I also enjoy things people generally mock me for, like Sex and the City, but don't judge! D:. So yea, I'm a young mum and if there are any other parents out there that'd be great. I have a distinct lack of parenty-type-friends. When I'm not all consumed by parenthood I like to play on my DS, draw, cook random meals and bake, go for walks with the tribe, listen to music and there's this whole massive list on my user info. I have a weird Lazy Town obsession :) But it's not as big as my Sonic the Hedgehog obsession. The majority of my posts are upbeat but I do have off days and I sometimes swear so probably be best if you're over 18. But in general I don't have a checklist of attributes for potential friends. I'm an INTJ and an enneagram type eight. I am one of the biggest destructionalists that you'll ever meet. I love dilapidation, chaos, explosions, and industrial decay. I find destruction to be absolutely beautiful. I also really love modern art and spend a lot of time at the Guggenheim museum. I love criminology and it is my life's ambition to become an independent criminal profile and investigative journalist. Smaller goals of mine include learning Japanese and German, since I love the cultures of both countries a lot. I'm kind of nerdy, as I really love anime/manga and Harry Potter and my fandoms mean a lot to me. I'm also very much into film (Fight Club is my favorite movie ever ever ever), making jewelry, listening to music, and lolita clothing (though I wear a lot of other things too). Note that, if you add me, I'm a very competitive person and have inferiority issues, and that comes up in my journal a lot. But I don't emo about it too much, don't worry. I major in Communication Arts with a focus on Journalism but I really want to become the next Amy Poehler. Well Amy Poehler-Tina Fey-Sarah Silverman rolled into one would be excellent. Oh and I intern at a radio station, which is ok. I'm really excited for summer because this semester is murdering me. I'm going to be taking classes in improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade in May, so I'm pretty excited about that. Despite the fact that my life is fairly busy right now, I find myself wanting to connect with 'like-minded' people. Unfortunately, they are very difficult to find. Who needs an ordinary life and ordinary people? I can't always avoid being subjected to the former, but prefer to avoid suffering the latter - if at all possible. My journal isn't full of fluff and happiness; nor is it pure angst. I think too much, and I enjoy conversing with other people that think too much. If there is insufficient interaction between myself and someone else, I will unfriend them. I don't expect constant comments, but I don't think that reading my journal and occasionally commenting is too much to ask, as I will generally do the same for anyone I friend. I am a huge anime fan, so don't be surprised to see anime references. The majority of my avatars are also anime-based. I am in love with music, and I will often express myself through music references (i.e. "I feel like [this song] today," and such). Music expresses more than mere words can alone. Don't get me wrong - I love words and writing. Obviously. :) But their power is limited. I love to read, game, write poetry, write fanfiction, write my own original stories, draw and wish that I could rewrite the world. I also go to the gym, work a full-time government job (dread) and have just recently enrolled in community college (English AA). I don't care about TV or sitcoms, and don't even watch movies that often. I tend to prefer substance in my entertainment. You want to know what sort of person I am? Hm. That's difficult. Shatter a few things, pick up some random pieces and throw them together. That would be something like me. A collection of disparate and jagged pieces. I have many faces. You probably won't see them all. I try to be a good person. My tendencies are to create and save rather than to harm or destroy. But the world changes us, does it not? And so I sometimes fail and end up destroying things anyway. My profile says a great deal more about my preferences and interests, so go there if you'd like.
