__Hot_or_Not___ was created November 16th, 2003 and we are still going strong! We are based strictly on looks. We will be honest in our judgment of your looks, and that honesty may be harsh. Please do not apply if you cannot take criticism.

RULES
» The 3 most active members will be participating in the HOTM month challenge!
» The 3 ACTIVE members (who update regularly & vote/comment regularly) will be chosen by the mods.
» Members (ONLY) will vote between the 3 picked.
» The winning member will be the HOTM.
» The HOTM will have their pick placed on the user info for an entire month.

» NEW THEME
Our new theme is consists of three different Duels. You can duel with looks, personality or talent.
Looks Duel
» If you choose a looks duel both members have to be able to take photos quickly with in a reasonable period of time.
» The dueler will post a photo of themselves in a certain pose
» The member being dueled will have to counter act by posting a photo in the same pose in a comment.
» Afterwards everyone will vote to see who pulled off the best picture.
Personality Duel
» The Personality Duel will be based on 5-10 questions that the dueler will ask the member they choose to duel.
» The dueler will answer the questions in their post.
» The member being dueled will answer in a comment.
» Both members will be judged/voted on their answers to the same questions.
Talent Duel
» For the Talent Duel, the dueler will challenge a member to a duel of talents which can consist of anything.
» Talents do not have to be the same between the two members.
» Show case your talent, with photos, words, video or anything you can think of!
» The dueler will post their talent in their post and the member being dueled will post their talent in a comment.
» Voting will take place and the member with the most impressive talent wins.
Duel voting will remain the same as HOTM or Challenge voting. Feel free to elaborate on your vote if you wish.
Also no members will be kicked out of__hot_or_not___. Duels are just for fun!

» CHALLENGES
Elimination Challenge
01. Applicants who have been rejected may challenge.
02. When challenging post 3 or more CLEAR pictures of YOURSELF.
03. Put Hot or Not in the subject line.
04. Pictures of members should be current DECENT ones from previous posts.
» If you cant find any because they haven't posted in a while, use their member pictures.
05. The person being challenged has 24 hours to respond.
» They must post 3 or more clear pictures in a comment on the challenged post
06. If the person challenged does not respond they will be kicked out of the community.
07. Stamped Members - When voting state the person you choose in the subject line.
08. Make sure the person you are challenging isn't on a break/hiatus/etc.
09. The person with the most votes after 48 hours will replace the person who was challenged.
» The person who loses will be rejected.
» Loser can reapply if they wish to continue participating in the community.
Promo Challenge
01. When challenging post 3 or more CLEAR pictures of YOURSELF.
02. Put Promo: Hot or Not in the subject line.
03. Pictures of members should be current DECENT ones from previous posts.
» If you cant find any because they haven't posted in a while, use their member pictures.
04. Stamped Members - When voting state the person you choose in the subject line.
05. Make sure the person you are challenging isn't on a break/hiatus/etc.
06. The person with the most votes after 48 hours will win!
07. Loser will have to promote __Hot_or_Not___ 15 places in 72 hours to promotion communities or LJ members & provide proof.
