| Ginger Snaps was released on September 10th 2000 at the Toronto International Film Festival, and was released publicly on May 11th 2001. The script was written by Karen Walton, and the film was directed by John Fawcett. The film was created with the intention of recreated the horror genre. It was filmed from October 25, 1999 and December 6, 1999 in three of Toronto's suburbs, Etobicoke, Brampton and Scarborough, which served as the films setting of Bailey Downs. After its release, the film was nominated for 2 Genie awards. The movie stars two young Canadian actresses: Katharine Isabelle as Ginger Fitzgerald, Emily Perkins as Brigitte 'B' Fitzgerald, as well as Kris Lemche as Sam and Mimi Rogers as Pamela Fitzgerald. Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed is a 2004 horror sequel to Ginger Snaps, written by Megan Martinl Cooney and was directed by Brett Sullivan. This film follows Brigitte as she deals with the two people Ginger infected with the virus before she died: Jason McCardy, and herself! The prequel, Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning takes place in 19th century Canada and follows two sisters, relatives of the first two films' Fitzgerald sisters, Ginger and Brigitte, who share the same names and a dead-on resemblance to their modern-day counterparts. They wander through the wilderness and stumble upon an Indian camp that has been ravaged by werewolves… A friend attempts to convince the girls of the part they play in a prophecy of The Red and The Black. The community can be used for posting icons, wallpapers, fan fiction, YouTube video, art, questions about the films, trivia, and anything else Ginger Snaps related, which brings me to the rules... 1.
