Welcome to  __ask! If you are having trouble with your overrides and want help, you came to right place! To begin with, what are overrides? Overrides are sections of code that can be used to modify certain parts of your journal. They are inserted into the Styles Override box near the bottom of the Modify Journal Page . To learn more, click here. Overrides basically work like HTML. When you go to the modify journal page, you should see four scrollbars near the top. They are entitled Available Styles. The most common style types used are:- CLEAN AND SIMPLE - DEFAULT LIVEJOURNAL - DISJOINTED - GENERATOR - MAGAZINE - PUNQUIN ELEGANT W/ SIDEBAR - TABULAR INDENT Most of the overrides in this community are customized to work in Generator, the most common style type used throughout LJ. Before moving on to ask a question, I suggest you check the list of tutorials. You need to join the community before being able to see any of the tutorials. You may also want to try this |
