Acceptance's guitarist Christian has joined the Tooth and Nail band Anberlin =)! It isn't listed on any websites yet, but I saw them play last night and he was there, and he is also in this video blog with them. It's so cool that the two bands have sort of, in a way, merged, because I fell in love with Acceptance when I saw them play with Anberlin back in 2005. =)

i thought i should get this out, just in case anyone else needs to say something similar...
i'm really upset about acceptance breaking up.
i've loved them ever since my friend made me a mixtape in august, 2004 with permanent on it. that same month, my mother died. and then phantoms came out two days before her first birthday she wasn't here for. i've always had them really close to my heart, and felt amazing everytime i listened to them. i know people say this all the time about cds, and i hate it when they do and never believe them, but i think i truly did play my phantoms cd to death. it no longer plays past half of so contagiously, so i've had to make a burnt copy. phantoms always takes me back to that spring and reminds of how much it helped me get through it.
...and the main reason i am upset about acceptance no longer being together, is that i never got to see them. i do live in atlanta, and i have had around seven oppurtunities since i found out about them... but all but one time, i couldn't go. something always came up, or it always faded to the back of my mind. so finally, i bought tickets to panic at the disco, the academy is, and acceptance for february 16th. when i got there, panic came on stage and announced that acceptance would not be playing that night. i left shortly after... i didn't even care to see the academy is who had been my favorite band at the time... in my heart, i was there for acceptance.
what i can't seem to understand is the reason behind all of this. i don't understand the meaning in me always missing acceptance and then acceptance missing me. and now, they are no more. (or at least, as they were.) i hate thinking about it because everytime i do, my heart just sinks in my stomach. no one seems to understand how i can feel this way... and i don't see why they can't. i figured that anyone reading this community would be best to relate or see where i'm coming from.
anyway, i just thought i'd share my story/disappointment... in case anyone else wanted to express the same.

I am writing to you on this day to address a certain issue that has come to many of your attentions. We have been receiving countless e-mails and our operators have had their hands full fielding all of your phone calls inquiring about a dirty little rumor of Acceptance breaking up. To this, my friends, I must say that the Acceptance that you all have know and loved is no more, but this is not an obituary, on the contrary, this is a metamorphosis, its friggen evolution baby, much like a disgusting little caterpillar turning into not one, but two beautiful butterflies. Its science, let me explain......
You see, there comes a time in a band members life where he must choose between the abnormal life of a gypsy rock musician and the normal life of the common man. Jason, our beloved lead singer, has chosen the latter and decided to take on the yoke of the common man. HOWEVER, the rest of us do not share in this desire for normalcy and have decided to continue in our pursuit of rock stardom. You should all be expecting to hear a new kick ace rocking project from Nick, Kyle, and I, as well as a new project from Kaylan and a bunch of secret people that I can't talk about right now. The anticipation must be building up in yer little bosoms as you read this and I can't wait for you to hear what we have all been doing. Remember, don't cry for us Argentina, for this is not a funeral, this is a rebirth of something beautiful. More information to come soon.

Adressing rumors of Break Up:
Yes they have.
Jason will be starting a new project in the future.
The rest of the band has already started a new project
The cd will NOT be released before the announcement. It isnt finished (as far as Willy knows).

I asked him because I was positive I saw Christian a couple of times at the Portland Warped Tour and he pretty much ruined my day. I was watching Saosin and he just came on stage and was sitting in there and it made me think of Acceptance and the break up rumor so I left. Then I was watching TAI acoustic and he appeared out of no where. I looked for him for awhile but couldnt find him so I decided to ask William.
