Hello community! Great there are so many people interested in Spaced.
You see, I'm writing an article about this series, and I really need a picture of Edgar Wright from episode 1, where he is a former Daisy's flatmate and is sleeping in an armchair. It's very urgent. Could you please help me find it?

I had no idea when I bought it, but I was just flipping through a few minutes ago and behold, there it is. In honour of the American DVD release.

There's a review of the DVD too -- five stars, of course.

So how many US fans have got the dvd? And how many had taken the time to buy a UK dvd beforehand for that matter? I'd have to say, if anyone is hesitating to buy the US dvd, I've watched episodes 1-5 of series 1 last night, and the new commentaries are pretty wonderful, ~~probably~~ worth the price.

I downloaded an mp3 editor thingy the other day, so if there's any sound clips you want making from the show for your phone or something, let me know. The clips have to be up on YouTube though because that's where I download them as mp3s. Or I can do any other clip on YouTube really, Peep Show, Big Train, whatever. It's not hard to do and doesn't take long. Just give me the link to the video.

... no, seriously though. In Simon's latest blog, he posts a rough draft of a proposed Spaced spin off, and it's WONDERFUL. Srsly, you should all go and read it. Obviously it's not meant as a concrete 'We r ttly making new Spaced YAY', but it's sweet and funny and fabulously crafted. ~~And it allows me to dream of more Spaced in the future~~.

Oh, Simon, could you get any more awesome and lovely?! ♥

just got my tickets to this and i'm getting ready to preorder the USA region dvd on amazon. june 2008 is officially the best month ever!

Simon Pegg Interview

There was a brief interview with Simon Pegg in Metro, the free newspaper for buses, trains and the underground the other day, well, I say free, one assumes ticket prices could be lower if it wasn't produced, although maybe all the adverts for Mr. Abou, Mr. Tamsiri, Mr. Iqubal, and various other people promising peace and happiness or your money back do pay for it. I may type it up if anyone cares and I haven't lost it yet. I'm surprised no one else has, that kind of thing seems to be popular.

McSpaced Pilot Rejected

Despite all the buzz, and exec producer McG, and a "phenomenal cast", Spaced is a no-go, I'm told. [FOX] just turned thumbs down on the WBTV/Wonderland pilot, which was adapted from the successful British TV series.

I have a couple of questions about songs from Spaced and Hot Fuzz.

First of all, I've been hunting for the Hot Fuzz track that's played when Angel and Danny are bringing the guns into the evidence room, and it's also played during some of the shootout. I've had a glance at the soundtrack listing but iTunes don't have it, so does anyone have a copy of that track (if it's available) that I could possibly nab?

Secondly, in Spaced there's a song that's played during series 1, episode 6, as the gang are entering the disco. Is that an actual song or is it part of the A-Team Remix that's unavailable?

I don't know how I missed this before, sorry to whomever this is old news.

After Shaun of the Dead (zombies) and Hot Fuzz (cops), comes The World's End: the final installment in what Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright have called their three-flavour Cornetto trilogy. The working title can be revealed today, but what the genre might be is another question. Asked by the Guardian if it suggested a sci-fi/doomsday theme, Wright said: "It's kind of going in that direction."
Wright was speaking yesterday as a two-film deal with the UK's leading production company, Working Title Films, was announced in London. The deal will involve him making the comedy with Pegg, as well as a separate action thriller, currently called Baby Driver.

Pegg and Wright, who first teamed up on the Channel 4 sitcom Spaced, said the Cornetto theme was a tribute to Krzysztof Kieslowski and his Three Colours (blue, white and red) series of films. A strawberry Cornetto appeared in the pair's 2004 breakthrough film Shaun of the Dead, an original flavour in Hot Fuzz and for the final film it will, somehow, be mint choc chip. "We're still waiting for the box of Cornettos to be sent to us," said Wright.
Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were phenomenal successes and laid a path to Hollywood for the pair. Wright, 33, is working on two films in the US: Scott Pilgrim vs The World and an adaptation of the Marvel comic book character Ant-Man. Pegg, meanwhile, has been playing Scotty in the forthcoming Star Trek film.
