hello! : ) [28 Feb 2006|02:20am] _sententious Hi, found this livejournal community via Magnet's official site. :) I adore the folk-pop fusion that's so unique in his music, and of course - his uber sexy voice. Grin. I'm from Singapore (a million miles from Norway), and I must say he's not well known here. I can't seem to find any of his albums so far, and yes, not even in the larger music stores. It's preceeded by a very limited single "Hold On" the week before (15 August). This comes in a twin 7" only format and the tracks will also be available for download via I-tunes. He is more well-known around here though (I'm a Norwegian), but it's nice to see that he has got fans from other countries as well. RR: John Tesh. I just listened to Tesh. Actually, there’s this band called Magnet that I just discovered. They’re my favorite. They’re from Norway. They’re like Radiohead. John Tesh, Magnet, and Radiohead all smooshed together. Not quite sure what to think about that. If you haven't heard them, I'd recommend checking them out. I'd post the link to their site, but it's under construction. Sparklehorse are the band that basically got me into low key indie, but I have yet to meet anyone else who likes them, except for a few of my weary friends upon whom I've forced many a mixtape... 5 comments || post
