It's just hard when you're finally learning to live and having the time of your life being in love. I've found the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with and I grow more certain of the fact every day. It's sort of scary to realize I'm going to be looking at this boy's face for the rest of my life, but in a way it's a comfortable thought. To be able to tell him my deepest secrets and know he'll keep them... POST.

my friends: [29 Aug 2008|02:47pm] geekychick there is so much to tell you, as it seems that i (once again) haven't checked my poor livejournal in months! i'm sure this rumor is out, but here's the most obvious: i got married! on august 15th (the day after my birthday!) Chad and I tied the rope. it was great! i'm still getting used to alot of things (like a weird new last name), but i'm sure as time goes on it will become second nature. in regards to everything else; i'm hoping that this will be my last year of school. working overtime at a demanding job (and getting paid in peanuts), and going to school, and trying to have a social life makes me very TIRED and i'm anxious for this part of my life to be done. for now anyways. who knows if i'll go back later. the dear darling husband and i are seriously considering moving to new jersey when my gig is up. we've got friends and contacts there that would make it quite easy to plug ourselves in. i miss the east coast like crazy, we want something new, and i think we'll both go nuts if we have to live in missouri much longer because it just plain SUCKS. however, as we both are very fickle and indecisive people, these plans could change at anytime lol. so i guess i'll keep you posted :) i've entered my 24th year of life, and i think it's pretty sad that i FEEL SO OLD. i'm always worrying, always wondering, always scraping, and just don't feel like myself these days. it seems like my days of spontaneity and adventure are a distant memory. i don't know. i guess i'm just kind of in a funk and am trying to think my way out of it. i guess it's just typical of young adulthood. oh, and the dog is finally housebroken!!! and, i've figured out how to prevent him from throwing up in the car! this brings me great joy. until next time, <3 POST.

Firsts...a non fan fic fiction [29 Aug 2008|02:14am] slaygalthessily [ mood | content ] I found this comm a few days ago (err...actually someone emailed me the link. found my journal and thought a good twilight fan like myself might like it.) none the less. it's a prompt comm and it had a list of things to write about. Not just anythings, but a lot of first things. First kiss, first kid, first date, ect...and since it's a fandom promt and I didn't want to do fandom, I decided to write my own personal set of stories, all based on a couple that have been together for nearly fifty years. It's like the old woman looking back on all her firsts with the man she loves while they're both slowly approaching their lasts. Anyway. [28 Aug 2008|11:20pm] forgetfulone [ mood | hopeful ] I have never in my life watched a politicial convention with as much fervor as I did this Democratic National Convention. I walked away with: 1. Not being pissy with the Clintons as I have been the past few months. 2. Crying....lots and lots of crying. Someone with brown skin like me actually has a chance to win this election. I know there are many people out there who will never understand my feeling of wonder and awe at this and many people who could give shit. You don't have to. I what it means for me. A moment of history that I NEVER, EVER thought I would have in my lifetime. Now, I'm going to go bury my head until November, because this is gonna get ugly. Completely O/T sorta, I think the Obamas and Bidens have very healthy sex lives. LOL Just sayin! ETA: Why does the news media always have to interview Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton? They do not represent me nor anyone else in my family. There are other black polticians who are actually credible! Interview them....dammit! Tuesday I had to hustle cleaning up our house since my mom got home that evening. Then I went to the airport to pick her up. Wednesday I did absolutely nothing because I am lazy like that. And today I cleaned our house. Tomorrow, my little cousin, Ben, is coming to stay with us for the weekend, so I have absolutely no idea how much time I'll even have to get on the computer. I'm kind of feeling really crappy about something and I don't know what it is. Have you ever felt like that? Something is bothering me and making me feel antisocial. I think I'll just cut myself off from human contact for a couple days and devote all my attention to reading and hanging out with Ben and making his weekend fun. READ (1) POST.

Writer's Block: Spirits [28 Aug 2008|07:54am] xohmrmagazine [ mood | calm ] Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever encountered one? View other answers I don't know if I believe in ghosts, honestly. I don't want to just for the sake of keeping me sane, but I sometimes think "What if?". I honestly don't know what to think about ghosts. I certainly think that there is an afterlife, but where? Does everyone stay in heaven/hell/wherever they go? Or do they wander around Earth? But who can tell us? No one has come back from the dead [except for Jesus, but that's a completely different story. Hah.] and said, "Heyyy - This is what goes down." I haven't had an actual experience. But there was definitely something wrong with my previous house. The person that lived there before us said that there were ghosts - she saw things flying around at night, stuff was being moved. Stuff like that. My family loved the house except for me. I was really young then and I never felt right. I always felt like something not right was going on. I was never happy once. I was extremely depressed all the time. The second we moved, I was thrilled. I haven't had any problems. The new family that moved into that house has two sons that my dad teaches. They always ask if that house is haunted.
