Hey There! Welcome to [info]_____layoutlove your one stop shop for, overrides, layout requests, premade layouts, help with your overrides, color bars, friends only signs, tutorials, headers, just about anything you can think of. This community was founded by [info]writingonmyhand. The Reason this community was made, is to help people understand the ways of Journal Customization and to also get a few custom graphics and layouts done while you are at it. Everything you see in this community is hte information I have found on my own when I was learning to decipher all the code nonsense. I am hoping this community will help others and make it a little easier for them to obtain the layout of there dreams! =)

Rules

I hate to do this, but there are alwyas a few ignorant, inconsiderate people out there. So there will be RULES to follow.

1) Do not be rude.
2)No off subject posts
3)Be patient.
4)Use LiveJournal Cuts when posting.
5) If you are going to post and image in this community, please use an image hosting site. No Hot Linking Either.

Overrides


If you are new to Livejournal and/or customization, I am sure you are wondering "What are overrides?" or "How do I use them"? and "How do they work"?


Overrides are sections of code that can be used to modify certain parts of your journal. They are inserted into the Styles Override box near the bottom of the Modify Journal page.
To learn more please, take a look around our community and/or click here or here.
When you go to the Modify Journal section, you should see four drop down scroll bars near the top of you override(s) page. These are your Available Styles.There are many Available Styles that you can work with and customize. The most common are:

♥--Clean and Simple
♥--Tabular Indent
♥--Penquin Elegant w/ Sidebar
♥--Default LiveJournal
♥--Disjointed
♥--Magazine

Most overrides are made to work with Generator and Clean and Simple style. Therefore, there is more customization with them.




Remeber: Overrides are for the S1 systen not the S2 system. Also before you begin customizing your LiveJournal, many overrides WILL NOT work UNLESS you have a website defined in your User Info!.








I am not active in this community. If someone would like to take over, let me know. I have way to much going on. I am keeping it open, but I am not taking requests. Feel free to help each other out.
