A database table has now been created for the nomination phase of the
FanSite portion of the 2008 Fandom Awards. All nominations must include a working link. Please take a look at the files section of the group under 2008 documents and read through the
category descriptions before making your nominations. This will help
you determine which fansites are eligible for each category.
Just a reminder, all the category heads throughout the nominations process for all categories reserve the right to disqualify nominations if said nominations do not meet the category criteria. Nominations will continue until 3 PM EST April 5, 2009.

FanArt portion of the 2008 Fandom Awards. There is one table for Best Fan Art Categories, one table for Best Fan Art Nominations (Best Photo Manipulation Art and Best Multimedia Art) and one table for The Best Fan Artist nominations.

you determine who's art is eligible for each category.

It's that time of year again! Yes, I know we just finished the awards for the 2007 year and now it's time again for the Annual Fandom Awards.
From our FanFiction Category head - the nomination phase for FanFiction will last two weeks and will end on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 12am midnight Eastern Time.
A brief message from the FanFiction category head for those wishing to place nominations:
A database table has been created for the nomination phase of the
FanFicition portion of the 2008 Fandom Awards. There is one table for
the author categories and another for the stories themselves. Please
take a look at the files section of the group and read through the
category descriptions before making your nominations. This will help
you discern which authors and/or stories are eligible for each category.

Hey everyone! Don't know if any one can help me on this but I thought I would throw this out there. I'm working on several art projects and I hope someone can send me clear pics or at least direct me to where I can find some. What I need is to locate some decent pics of 80's cartoon characters from TV shows or some books. Some shows that I have found have pics that are either too blurry as all heck OR they are so small that I can't see details of the picture.
I'm looking for....
Rose Petal Place characters
Lady Lovely Locks characters
Moondreamer characters
and the biggest problem I'm having is with Golden Girl and the Guardians of the Gemstones
I do have a list over in my LJ (CLICK HERE) of other cartoon characters as well as some movies that I could use some caps to too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thus far, I now have up to 368 signatures on my petition. But do I have to end it tomorrow while I can just drop the deadline and keep the petition open as long as I can until all of C.O.P.S. episodes get released on DVD? That was my original intension. And to that I say...yes, drop the deadline and keep the petition open as long as I can until all episodes of C.O.P.S. gets released on DVD. Which is just exactly what I'll do to get a decent amount of signatures needed to get Shout Factory to release all episodes of C.O.P.S. on DVD. So stop worrying about deadlines and just sign away.

That's what my petition now has. This week is the deadline for all signature entries which is on March 28th. However, I remember the other day when I showed the petition and the signatures to Shout Factory, one of the members of the community board responded,
"I have a question? Why put a deadline on the petition at all? Can't it just run up signatures over the next couple years and then that can be presented to shout or would that much time passing do more harm than good?"
I would like to put in much more time and energy with this petition, but I don't want to wait another year for signatures to come in 2 speeds, slow and stop. So as of right now, this week is your last chance you'll be given to sign the petition before I closed the petition and send the signatures into SF...unless you got any better ideas on where to go to get up to 1,000 or 5,000 signatures or better in a very short time. If there's a place where I can go to get a lot of signatures for my petition, then I'll see about extending the deadline just one more time. Otherwise, after March 28th, that's it. My C.O.P.S. petition project will be done! So if you haven't sign the petition, please do so!

Hi there! I'm new here to this community and I would like to ask all you TV fans who are big fans of classic 80s' cartoon shows . Does anyone remember C.O.P.S.? Here let me refresh,
 
C.O.P.S. (Central Organization of Police Specialists) is a late 80s' animated series created by DiC Entertainment that aired between 1988-1989. The show aired again in 1993 on Saturday mornings in syndication as CyberC.O.P.S. to avoid the confusion with COPS, the reality TV show. The series is all about a team of futuristic police officers lead by Special Agent Baldwin P. Vess (C.O.P.S. Codename: Bulletproof) who strives to bring a powerful criminal leader Brandon "Big Boss" Babel and his army of criminal thugs to justice and restore law and order in the streets of Empire City in the year 2020. The show contains only 66 episodes and has gained many fans who grew up enjoying the series along with its unforgettable characters such as Bulletproof (My all time favorite character), Buttons McBoomBoom, Big Boss, Nightshade, Mace, Berserko, Highway, Sundown, LongArm, Barricade, Dr. BadVibes, and many others. I'm working on a special petition to have the complete series be released on DVD. Thus far, only 22 episodes have been released, but that's not enough. All 66 episodes has got to be released on DVD and I need your help in signing my petition to released the whole series on DVD.

I've created this petition to convince Shout! Factory, the guys behind Volume 1 of the C.O.P.S. DVD boxset, to release the complete C.O.P.S. series on DVD and I need you guys' help in accumulating a lot of signatures to make the petitions work and convince Shout! Factory that we need all of C.O.P.S. badly!

C.O.P.S. is an excellent cop show for even your kids to get into if you don't want your kids to see kid-enemy cop shows like NYPD Blue, NUMB3ERS, Criminal Minds, CSI, and The Sopranos.
It features a series of educational segments called C.O.P.S. for Kids where both C.O.P.S. and Crooks spent a few minutes giving to the viewers tips and advice on how to protect themselves, how to be safe than sorry, and how to help the law enforcers keep the streets safe from crime. The series also includes, one of the most talked about episode of the series, The Case of Mace's Romance where Mace, a C.O.P.S. officer, falls in love with Nightshade, a crook who got Mace to help her rescue her sister from the crooks and thwart Big Boss' plans to steal money being raised for the homeless at a charity ball. Anyone who remembers the series should remember that particular episode. You're all invited to come and sign the petition if you wish to see all the series over and over again like you used to. With help from you guys, it won't be very long before the complete C.O.P.S. series is release on DVD for all to see, including me.

so basically, no school = lots of free time for claire. that, plus new she-ra dvds = lots of new she-ra icons. this is a HUGE, graphic heavy post, and includes icons from "sweet bee's home," as well as several other episodes. and yes, there are castaspella in here, as well as other minor characters ;)
