Welcome to yet another themed community.![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
7_lies has the same idea as other communities - and that is to bring people together to learn and improve, no matter your level of skill.
Most communities have 30 themes. In fact, there is a community called30_lies that has the same theme as this community - lies. The difference is in the themes and number of themes. I feel that, for beginners and others, 30 themes is a bit much to complete alone, especially when Real Life gets in the way. Thus, I decided to follow the example of other 7 themed communities and create one of my own.
The idea of7_lies is to write 7 fanfics or draw 7 art pieces, no matter their length or size as long as they're at least 100 words (for fics) and you give it your best, and with the theme of 'lying' or 'a lie'. Whether it turns out to be a misunderstanding, the real truth or an actual lie is entirely up to you and your imagination. ;)
Now! How do you get started?
First, you can check the themes to see if you're interested.
If you are, follow this link to check the claims list to see if the pairing/character/etc that you'd like to write about is already claimed.
Make sure you check the rules below, or you might regret it!
First off, you must submit a fic at least once every four (4) months. Extensions are given to those who need extra time.
First extension = 3 Months
Second extension = 2 Months
Third = 1 Month and no more extensions after.
The only types of works that are not allowed are:
Original works
RPF/RPS (Real Person Fiction and Real Person Slash)
Crossovers are fine. Collaborating is now allowed.
A person can claim up to two pairings/threesomes/groups/characters in the same or separate fandoms. You must work on both claims at same time, so others can have a chance at the subject.
TWO people may claim the same thing for a fandom, but no more than that.
All pairings, ratings and genres are welcome. Threesomes are also encouraged. ;)
If you're more of an artist than a writer, more power to you, and welcome aboard.
Fake cuts and writing journals are both accepted.
No plagiarism, flaming, het/homo phobia. No Mary/Gary Sues/Stus. Please run your story through a spellchecker, or get a beta reader before submitting.
People of all skill level are welcome. Feedback is highly encouraged. One comment can make an author's/artist's day! =)
