Save IHOC
Hey everybody, just wanted to see if anybody would be interested in this....
The International House of Chaos (IHOC) is a pretty cool place to put on shows, as the basement lends itself really well to that kind of thing. I moved out a few months ago, and a few friends of mine are still living there. The lease runs up at the end of July, and they're not planning on staying.
Somebody should move in there that wouldn't mind putting on shows from time to time...it's a cool place, and it would be a shame to see it go out of the scene. Here's the skinny:
- 4 BR/ 2 BA
- 1/2 carpet, 1/2 hardwood floors
- W/D
- Tons of parking
- Pretty cool backyard grove type thing
- You can lock the main part of the house off (except for 2 of the bedrooms) during shows, with access to one of the bathrooms.
- $1000/month ; It's recently come under management by one of those rental companies, though, so I don't know if that will change.
If you're interested, give Mr. Abbe (pronounced Abby) or Mary a call at 549-9185. It'd be really cool if somebody could do this....the more DIY venues we have in town the better, I say.
XOXO,
Jeff
