About
5th Element Products LLC is located in the village of Ortonville in mid Michigan. Our chief herbalist, soap maker and founder has been studying the use of herbals most of her life in an effort to help her family with common health issues. A terrific chef and natural artist, she turned her hand to soap making in 1999 and is currently pursuing a degree in Naturopathy.
Friends and family happily became testers for the products and word began to spread about the lovely scents, the soothing feel, and the attractive look of the bath products, healing salves, and lip balms. Each soap recipe is formulated to produce a generous full lather, a pleasant feel, and a rich scent. The herbs and oils are chosen carefully for their scent combinations as well as the properties each herb holds.
In December of 2001, 5th Element opened a store in Oxford, Michigan. The store included 1,100 sq. ft. of retail space and 500 sq. ft. for a manufacturing workshop. The Village of Oxford warmly embraced the shop and we discovered an incredible holistic community there. Sadly, due to the economy, we decided to close the brick and mortar store front in November of 2005 and put our energies into providing our products via the web.
