FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS v2.1

1 ) Do I need to claim a pairing/character/group from any particular series?
No. Choose any fandom you want.

2 ) Besides anime/manga, can I write for graphic novels, movies, TV shows, books fandom etc?
Yes. There is no restriction on the source media.

3 ) Can I write original fiction?
Yes.

4 ) Can I insert original characters into my fics which are based on an established fandom?
Yes.

5 ) Can I write slash/yaoi?
No. The creator of [info]52_flavours, [info]kittu9, has stated that she does not want her community to feature such fiction. Please do not appeal for a change because this position will not be revised in the near future.

6 ) Can I post het incest stories then?
Well, technically, they are het. ^^ Yes.

7 ) Can I combine multiple themes into one chapter?
No. However, you can use multiple themes as inspiration for different chapters of one overarching story.

8 ) Can I affiliate my community with [info]52_flavours?
No. At the moment, the community is not open to affiliation though this might be revised later.

9 ) Do the themes have to be written in order?
No. Feel free to skip and write for whichever theme that inspires you.

10 ) Do I have to finish all 52 themes?
No.

11 ) I have other questions not addressed by the questions above.

First off, thank you very much for making a slash free community! :)

Anyways, you do one a week for the year, correct? What if you don't have the time a certain week/month. I'm doing NaNoWriMo in a few days and I won't be able to write anything elce during that time.

Oh no, there's no time limit at all XD XD Feel free to take time off during Nov and resume later. As stated, you're not obliged to finish all the themes :> The "one theme per week" is just... hmm, a guideline, hardly the law at all. Many of our members don't finish all the themes in the first place. I hope that helps.

I have a drabble series for Kingdom Hearts known as "Devil's Trill". It's primarily gen although for a few of them, if you want to, you can see Axel/Roxas.

I've been searching for themes to write for this series, and I loved the themes for this community. I'm not planning on using any of the themes to write slash/yaoi between Axel and Roxas, as everything for these themes will be gen. Could I still post them on the community?

Oops, sorry for the delay. But the answer is definitely yes ^^ You just need to do the themes within 2007, that's all. The "one fic per week" is not a rule, just mere, humm, guidelines ^^

You know, I just realized I did not read the userinfo/FAQ properly. I posted two fics based on the 2006-2007 themes list recently. Could those count towards my 52 stories, or would I have to start my challenge all over again when the new themes are made?

So basically, I think my question is like the one above my comment.

I browsed the entries from Sept. of '07 to Feb. of '08, and I didn't see an '08 list. Now, this may be because of my poor vision, but... IS there an '08 theme list? Or should I use the one for '07?

Also, I read that you don't need to request a specific pairing or fandom; does that mean that putting in a request isn't necessary at all?

One last thing (I know, so picky!); does it need to be one specific pairing, or can it be many within the fandom?
