Xcelite?
I desperately need some some new tools. Small screwdrivers, small allen wrenches, etc. The tool offerings at Wal*Mart and Radio Shack just aren't cutting it. There used to be several places in ABQ that had good selections of tools (in the 70s and 80s) but I haven't shopped for such things in a long time. This community seems like the most likely place to find people who know where to shop for tools. I'm very partial to Xcelite, as shown in the subject line.

they are good for just about all the cheap tools you may need/want. as for upper end tools, sears, dewalt or lowes/home-depot.

I'm definately not looking for cheap tools, and harbor freight doesn't seem to stock xcelite. Sears, DeWalt, Lowes, and Home Depot still fall in the cheap tools category. They don't stock good tools.

Back when I went to buy tools in ABQ, it was in an industrial building somewhere North of Downtown. Not marked for consumer traffic, and inside was a candy-store of tubes, rheostats, o-scopes, etc. I just don't know where those kinds of places are anymore.

You'll probably need a bigger city than Albuquerque. There isn't much demand for such things anymore, so most of the stores have dried up.

For Xcelite tools, I know Steve (TCC) used to have a catalog which offered that brand. Dustin may be able to steer you in the right direction.
