Newbie
Hi, I'm a newbie to the community, this is my first post so be nice :)
I've been doing Doctor Who fan art for a while, but it's only recently got to the point where I think it's good enough to share with other people.
I use a Wacom-penabled tablet PC that lets me draw directly on the screen as if it were the surface of a graphics tablet.
My two most recent pieces are:
A cartoon-style front view of the insane character in the series 4 finale (if you haven't seen those episodes, this is a spoiler)
An airbrush-style digital painting of Staal The Undefeated from The Sontaran Stratagem
The rest of my my Doctor Who LJ scrapbook gallery is here if you want to see my early stumblings.
I tend to draw monsters rather than the main characters. This is simply because it's far more obvious when you've screwed up the proportions of a human/gallifreyian character than it is when you've skewed an alien face! Some day I'll pluck up the courage to start trying human faces again...
