Welcome to 4 Seasons of Love, the challenge comm that pushes you to go just a little bit further. Because simple challenges are boring and precious few other challenge comms want to play with us anyway.


4 Seasons of Love (4seasons_rabu) is a challenge community intended for Asian music RPF only (that'd be Real Person Fic, by the way). We welcome all types of fic - slash, femmslash, het, even gen! But expect most of the fic here to be RPS ... and if you're still reading, then welcome to the fun. ^_^

We do have ... well, I was going to say "a few rules," but one look at our Rules and iFAQ would suggest there's more than just a few. But they're actually not that bad. Just numerous, and even that's not so bad. In fact, the most important ones for everyone are only five:

1. BE NICE That means no pairing bashing, no acting like a spoiled brat, no flaming or flame-baiting. We welcome and encourage constructive criticism, but if you don't like a pairing, then don't read it.
2. If you don't want con-crit, say so. This one's one you, authors. This is, after all, a writing community, and those with more experience/ability may be able to help out those with less. But if you're not interested in constructive criticism of your fic (and not everyone is, which is fine), then it's up to you as the author to tell us this. We're not mind readers, after all.
3. If you're having trouble with someone, bring it to the attention of a mod. We don't really expect this to be an issue, but we like to cover all our bases. If you are having a hard time with another comm member, notify one of the mods and we'll take care of it.
4. No disabling/deleting comments. Going along with #3, all posts to the community must have comments enabled, even if it's just a link to your fic. Posts that do not have comments enabled will be deleted. Also, please don't delete comments, even if they're not complimentary. If someone is being abusive, then by all means, freeze the thread and let us know about it, but don't delete.
5. Use English in your comments. I know, not everyone speaks English as a first language, but in order to effectively moderate, we need to know what's being said. A little bit of language-slipping is fine (I do it myself, being a language sponge), but the bulk of your comments should be in English.

Also, for those who may fear f-list flooding ... we are now making once-daily posts at 4seasons_daily summarizing the posting of the previous day. That way you can keep up with the fic posted here and not have it flood your list or lose any of your favourites in the shuffle of the day.


Perhaps unsurprisingly, if you want to join in the fun here, first you have to stake a claim. Fortunately, doing so is relatively painless! In just four easy steps, you can be on your way to fame and adoration. Or, well, adoration anyway.
1. Read the Rules and iFAQ
2. Check the claims list, then make your claim.
3. Wait for confirmation.
4. Once you have confirmation, start writing!

When you're done or just can't do it anymore, hit up the drop post for the appropriate form.

The current season is WINTER.


As it stands right now, your best shot for getting ahold of someone actually in charge of things around here is to post a comment to the Shout-Out Entry. That is, after all, why it was made.
