Ira misquoted in LA Times

Hey guys,

I just got word from one of my contacts that Ira was misquoted in this LA Times article in regards to "The 4400."

Ira was merely referring to what their schedule is during a typical season and that there still has been no word on whether the show has been picked up for another season yet.

I just wanted to clarify this, now that I have the information.

Let's just keep hoping! :)

Ira in the LA Times

There is a quote from Ira Behr in the LA Times regarding the strike.  The most interesting part of the quote states that The 4400 is scheduled to go into production in December.  Which is fascinating given that there's been no notice of a renewal.

Check out the entire quote below the fold.

Article on the show from Non Sport Update online

http://www.nonsportupdate.com/samplearticle.htm

Features interviews with Jeffrey Combs, Conchita Campbell, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Ira Stephen Behr and Craig Sweeny, done at Comic Con.

It is interesting to learn that Jeff apparently signed around 900 cards for the Season 2 set and Megalyn has signed some (one would assume for Season 3's set- which means we should be getting one, yay!).

My Comic Con pics...

Sorry for the delay in posting them. I was waiting for a friend to send me a couple of pictures that he had taken of me with Jeffrey and Conchita. If you want anything for your websites or personal collections, please let me know and I'll pass them along.

The autographed photo they were giving away:

IESB Article

IESB has an article on the 4400 panel from SDCC.  It's under a cut with some commentary.  (Well, not so much commentary, but more like bragging about how accurate my spoilage for the finale is shaping up ;) )

Update to the Comic Con schedule (autograph signings)...and a Jeffrey Combs update

Billy and Ira will be signing in the Sails Pavilion from 1230-130 with the new Bionic Woman on Saturday. Drawings for a ticket to get an autograph start at 10.

On Sunday, cast members will be signing at the Inkworks booth in the exhibit hall. It was originally announced as Billy, Ira, Craig, Megalyn, Chad and Jenni but they seemed to have just changed the lineup. It now lists Ira, Megalyn, Jenni, Conchita Campbell, and Jeffrey Combs as the ones signing. It takes place Sunday from 1-230, after the panel. Lineup time to get a ticket is still unknown. I've always wanted to meet Jeff and Conchita, so this is a nice change for me. Maybe they will join the panel now?

Ira & Craig video interviews!

Woh! More stuff!!! :D

There are seven new videos on the official site in which Ira S. Behr and Craig Sweeny answer fans' questions.

Check them out here.

Ira is very careful in what he says in the interviews, but mentions that "Every question you had about The 4400 will be answered this season."

Ain't It Cool Article

Hercules at Ain't It Cool has a big article this morning.  And it has some really interesting stuff in it.

**  Ira confirms for the first time that Karina Lombard is probably not coming back.  Bye bye Alana.

**  We get are first clue about the mysterious missing Episode 8.   Episode eight was described by Behr as something to “cleanse the palette.”   (Well, it's more then we knew before!)

**  And again with the "Space Madness" for episodes 11, 12 & 13.

** Jeff Combs will be in six episodes and Summer Glau in five.

There is much much more in the article itself, including more descriptions of how actor availability and USA budgets have impacted the show, and a probable future guest starring appearance of Penny Johnson Jerald (Sherry Plamer from 24 and Cassidy Yates from DS9).

Scary Jordan from TV Guide

I just received my print edition of TV Guide, which happens to be the Summer Preview issue.  There is a small blurb about the 4400 returning on June 17, and a rather disturbing picture of Jordan who appears to be holding Tess at knifepoint.

Here's a scan of the picture:

And the blurb:

The 4400 Returns 6/17/07, 9/8c, USA

Where we left off:  The potential messiah with the initials J.C. - Jordan Collier (Billy Campbell, above)- returned to preach the gospel of Promicin, the drug that either gives you extraordinary powers or kills you.

What's next:  in the first few seasons, the series focused on the impending apocalypse.  This summer, says executive producer Ira Behr, "We're about the dangers and the salvation offered by Jordan.  This is where the audience gets to decide for itself:  Is Promcin good or bad?  Is Jordan good or bad?"

***
Hey!  Didn't I just do a poll asking those very questions?  Maybe I did take Promicin, and now I'm psychic.  ;D

More Billy & Ira WonderCon photos

Look what I found. Some more pics of Billy & Ira from WonderCon. These one's are professionally taken. (Not that our fan photos weren't the highest quality photos in the history of photography or anything. ;) But it is nice to see how the pros do it.

Billy & Ira Video Interviews on IESB.net

IESB.net has a pair of live interviews with Billy & Ira conducted at WonderCon.

Both are excellent interviews, approximately 10 minutes each.  (And I have to say, that Billy looks great and much less shaggy ;)

Both also dropped some hints about Season 4.

Big Article at Scifiwire

Scifiwire has an article up with so many juicy quotes from Ira regarding season 4, that I'm going to place the entire thing under a cut, along with some commentary.

Ira also confirms again that the show will begin airing in June.

Jenni Baird Confirmed as Meghan

Hot off the presses, directly from Ira Behr.

After the panel, Ted got the opportunity to ask Ira a question, and so he asked if they had cast the role of Meghan.

Ira confirmed the casting of Australian actress Jenni Baird.

(I'm not blogging this form home myself, and I'll have more on this after I get home tonight.)

WonderCon Report

I've just heard from my roving repoter, Ted, live from WonderCon where he just had a front row seat in the panel with Ira Behr and Billy Campbell.

The panel also included Graig Tomashoff, Chase Masterson, Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica) and Jeff Loeb (Heroes), so many topics were covered beyond The 4400. But Ira did give out a few hints about Season 4. And those hints are summarized below.

Ted is still making his way home from the con. He'll be sending me pictures later today or tomorrow.

THANK YOU TED!

Billy and Ira to Appear at San Francisco WonderCon

Billy Campbell and Ira Stephen Behr are scheduled to appear at WonderCon in San Francisco the weekend of March 2-4.

Check out the Details:

On Sunday, television will have a big presence at WonderCon this year as sponsor TV Guide presents: 2007 and Beyond. This panel features TV Guide’s West Coast Bureau Chief, Craig Tomashoff with a look at the successful supernatural, sci-fi and fantasy series currently appearing on cable and network TV. Panel participants include Jeph Loeb (Co-Executive Producer, Heroes), Billy Campbell (The 4400), and Ira S. Behr (Executive Producer The 4400).

WonderCon is the Northern California sister convention of the San Diego Comic Con which I attended last Summer.  And it should be a fantastic event.  I'll be looking for reports!  (Knocks head on desk because my travel budget and vacation time is taken for the year.)

Ira On Renewal

There is an article on SciFiWire quoting ISB with some very positive information regarding renewal.  (He expects it soon, pretty much confirming what Jacqui said on her MySpace.)  OK - If I weren't at work, I'd bounce and squeek. :D

Also, the article contains some very, very interesting spoilers both for the finale, and for next year.
