Update on "The 4400" S3 Companion Guide

Amy Berg replied to my question on the official 4400 forum:

Hey everyone,

I spoke with my friend Terry Erdmann, who is the author of our companion books. Apparently the Season Three companion has been put "on hold" by the publisher (Titan Books). At the moment there is no timetable for its release. I can assure you, I am even more disappointed by this news than you are. I was interviewed for the book and my name was to appear in its pages... I even stopped by Borders on the way home from our Hollywood Blvd writers rally with the hopes of picking up a copy. I was really looking forward to reading it.

Honestly, I don't know the reason for the delay. My only advice would be to write the publisher and urge them to release it. If they're looking for assurances that there's interest in the book, give it to them.

Unfortunately, this is all the information I have right now. If/when I get more details, I'll let you know. If you have any questions, ask them in The Official Question Thread.

-Amy

Here's hoping the book is out soon! Let's try to email the publisher politely and ask for them to release this guide. Personally S3 is my favorite season (for many reasons!) and I'd love to have a little commemorative guide to remember it by especially! :)

Did anyone else get "The 4400 Companion Guide" today? What do you think of it?

It's just so cool! I was hoping for more color photos, but I'm totally happy! Lots of nifty trivia about the eps, show, cast, and crew. :) (And YAY for Jeff Combs content! :) )

I had to drive to Seattle to get my copy! Hope others got theirs! :)

More info on "The 4400 Companion"

This was posted on the official board. Someone called "titanguru" replied in this thread about the upcoming 4400 companion guide to Seasons 1 and 2. (BTW, Titan Books is the publisher for both upcoming guides) :)

Here's his post:

Hi everybody - just to give you some more info on what's in the book. It has a foreword by Exec Producer Ira Steven Behr. Then it goes into the genesis of the show and gives episode-by-episode guides to all of season 1 and season 2. There are character profiles of Tom Baldwin, Diana Skouris, Richard Tyler, Lily Moore Tyler, Shawn Farrell, Kyle Baldwin, Maia Rutledge Skouris, and other recurring characters, all with actor interviews. Then the book goes behind-the-scenes and covers the production design, music and special effects, before ending with an afterword by co-creator Scott Peters.

This sounds AWESOME!!! :D :D :D

Let's hope we get even more info soon! :)

The 4400 Companion

I got this in my e-mail, so I'm passing on this detailed information about the 4400 Companion Book which is due in June.  And look at the pretty cover!

You can pre-order the book on Amazon.  (And I recommend doing so.)

TAKEN FOR A REASON. RETURNED WITH A PURPOSE.

Titan Investigates The 4400™!

When 4400 missing people are returned all at once, apparently unchanged from the moments they vanished, the US government launches an investigation into the phenomenon. It gradually becomes clear that the 4400 have returned with strange new abilities, and that their presence will change the human race forever. Now the record breaking sci-fi drama is celebrated in its very own book!

The 4400: The Official Companion Seasons 1 & 2 (Terry J. Erdmann) is the official in-depth companion to the first two seasons of the hit series, packed with behind-the-scenes interviews with cast and crew, plus scores of exclusive pictures, including a 16-page colour gallery. Also featuring a comprehensive episode guide with details on all your favourite moments such as the shocking season finales (‘White Light’ and ‘Mommy’s Bosses’), this is the indispensable guide to one of the hottest shows on TV.

The companion will be out in June in the US ($14.95) and Canada (£19.95), followed by a release in July for UK fans.

You can find out more about The 4400 companion and all our other releases at www.titanbooks.com.
