Painted Perversion, Michigan's only continuing montly Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast proudly presents (in conjunction with Repo! Road Tour III) Repo! The Genetic Opera. Here is the official press release:
"REPO! ROAD TOUR 3 SET TO KICK OFF JANUARY 13
“I think that the REPO! Road Tour must be seen to be believed. REPO! has inspired a community, and that community shows up in force on the road tour to bond, sing, and show off their fan-made REPO! costumes and props. I imagine this is what being there on the ground floor of The Rocky Horror Picture Show experience 33 years ago must have been like.” Stated Terrance Zdunich Actor/Co Creator.
The third and FINAL leg of the REPO! Road Tour is primed and ready to kick off January 13, 2009. Director Darren Bousman and actor/writer Terrance Zdunich will be heading out across the country to promote their film, REPO! The Genetic Opera. In anticipation of the dual release of the extended Soundtrack and the DVD on January 20th, Bousman and Zdunich will be taking over independent theaters and screening the film for fans in-person. The REPO! Road Tour is for fans to come out and be a part of the event together. Each city has put its own spin on the event, from fans dressing up as characters to theater-wide sing-a-longs, and more!
With sellouts on the first two REPO! Road Tours, Bousman and Zdunich look to repeat their success. Tickets are $15 and are on-sale Monday, December 29, at www.reporoadtour.com. The event WILL sell-out, so make sure to buy yours early! Recently on REPO! Road Tour I and II, several cast members have joined the tour in select cities including Paul Sorvino, Alexa Vega and Bill Moseley, as well as co-writer and band leader Darren Smith, so to all REPO! Fans; be prepared for special guests!
Bousman commented on the upcoming tour: “The REPO! Road Tour has become the single most important aspect of REPO. You haven't seen REPO until you have seen it with a packed house of dressed-up people singing with the movie. The Road Tour truly has turned into an event. It's like a concert. Every single show we have done thus far has been sold out. With lines wrapping around the block, the fan reaction is amazing.”
For the fans: REPO! Road Tour includes an introduction to the film by Bousman and Zdunich, a screening of REPO! The Genetic Opera, as well as a post-film Q&A session and autograph session with the filmmakers and Actors, and a chance to purchase exclusive REPO! Road Tour merchandise.

REPO! The Genetic Opera: In the no-so-distant future, a worldwide epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GENECO, a biotech company that offers organ transplants...for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by THE REPO MAN. By fusing ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and BLADE RUNNER, this futuristic tale of horror modernizes the “rock opera” genre with original music and rich, dark production design. This rock opera boasts an entirely original soundtrack that blends equal parts goth and punk rock to form an eerie and powerful musical narrative and features vocal performances by an amazing cast; Paris Hilton, Bill Moseley, Sarah Brightman, Anthony Stewart Head, Alexa Vega, Paul Sorvino, Ohgr and more. Instrumentals and score provided by an all-star lineup that features performances from Joan Jett( who cameos in the film), Richard Patrick (Filter), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction), Clown (Slipknot), Ray Luzier (Army of Anyone), Brian Young (David Lee Roth's band), Sonny Moore (From First to Last), Richard Fortus (Guns & Roses), David J (Bauhaus/Love & Rockets), Daniel Ash (Love & Rockets), Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne), Tommy Clefetus (Rob Zombie's band), Melora Creager (Rasputina). So, come dressed as your Favorite Halloween\RHPS character and win a prize (1st prize is a "one of a kind" Painted Perversion T-Shirt signed by the entire cast; 2nd prize is a "one of a kind" Painted Perversion pantie signed by the entire cast). The Priestess Minerva returns for Halloween night to read your fortune. Care to see what your future may hold? Also, we are doing something a little different for pre-show music. On Halloween night, see Mr. Denton on Doomsday perform LIVE for listening pleasure. Here is a band bio:
"Mr Denton On Doomsday have been on a rampage since forming in the summer of 2006. In that short time, they have performed over 100 shows across the midwest, sold over 2500 CDs and opened for many national recording acts including The Misfits, Nonpoint, Skindred, Adema, Sponge, Six (featuring members of Cypress Hill), Egypt Central, and Scum of the Earth (featuring Riggs, guitarist for Rob Zombie). In Sept of 2008 Mr Denton's song "Karo" was added to the rotation on over 400 Internet Radio Stations. Mr Denton On Doomsday have performed at such legendary venues as The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Planet Rock in Battle Creek, the infamous I-Rock in Detroit, The Machine Shop in Flint, and Harpos America's largest concert theatre. With a fervent, loyal fan base, a full-length album in the final stages of production, and an endless calender of gigs this band shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Mr Denton On Doomsday includes vocalist Travis in addition to members Fate (Guitar, vocals), Bush (Bass), and Benjamin (Drums). Although these diverse band mates cite King Crimson, Black Sabbath, Queens Of The Stone Age and many others as influences, they create a sound unique unto themselves. Mr Denton On Doomsday is known for clever, insightful lyrics touching on the world of politics as well as personal conflicts and the degradation of rock music as a whole.
With a base in metal and a foot in the door of funk, it's hard to pigeon-hole Mr Denton On Doomsday into one particular music style. Whether it's the soulful blues soloing of Fate, the wah-wah induced funk of Bush's bottom line, or the syncopation of erratic drums beats, each member brings something different to a band not content to settle for less. Their love for the music is evident in every note of every song, and every drop of blood or sweat left on stage. If given the opportunity to see Mr Denton On Doomsday live, then do one thing: Don't miss it!
"Mr Denton on Doomsday's sound falls somewhere between a modern day King Crimson and Black Sabbath, with music that's fresh, original, uncharted." -Anne Erickson - Lansing State Journal
"Each song from Mr Denton On Doomsday is completely unique from the next. Some songs have distinct changes throughout, making you think you are hearing a fusion of several different bands." - Andrew Rogers - LCC"S The Lookout"
Show date is October 31 (Halloween Night) at 11:30 PM. Tickets are $8 per person. | ATTN: ALL ROCKY HORROR CAST DIRECTORS!! |

Hey guys! I'm Nerie, an (ex) Rich Weirdo from the Universal cast in Orlando, FL. I just wanted to offer your cast a real movie trailer (fit to play in a standard theater!) from Rob Zombie's long awaited debut House of a 1000 Corpses I have it up for sale in my selling journal here:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/murderctyharlot/6641.html
It was given to me by a friend that worked at a movie theater (I'm a photo student) and he figured I could use it for a project or something. Two years later, I haven't. I've already had one offer (for $20) from someone in a cast in Arizona.. but she hasn't responded to my comments. I'd put it up on Ebay if I didn't think it would be taken down. Anyway, I figured I'd offer it here in case someone wanted it for a pre show for Halloween or some other special weekend viewing.
And before you mention it, yes I've already contacted my old cast director about it since my old cast does Moulin Rouge on our off weekends.. apparently he hates horror films!
Thanks for looking and if you know of another place to post this, or don't want this here, let me know and I'll delete it! |
