About:

There's so much in the world to feel bad about - so much to make a person feel down. Trust me, I know all about depression.

This community is designed for us to find just 3 things each day to feel good about or to be thankful for. I came up with it after posting to my LiveJournal about 3 good things that happened to me one day:

1. A colleague / friend just called me up to say hi and to see how I was doing.

2. Free pizza for lunch

3. A boxed set of DVDs arrived.

See, your 3 things don't have to be earth-shattering events, just some things that brought a smile to your day. A friend told me that one of her 3 things was her dog curling up by her. We also do have a lot for which to be thankful, even though it might not seem like it. For example, my new job has limited hours... but I have work for now and at twice the hourly pay I made at my last job. It's an opportunity to get some bills paid off. Hey, I've been unemployed so it's good to actually have something.

The aim of this community is to celebrate the small, yet good things in life. You don't have to post everyday, but we'd all like to share in the positive events - lift each other and ourselves up. You don't have to write long entries either - just list as I've done above.

By the way, although this is not a faith-based group I am a Christian. Several members are also Christians. But you don't have to be of the Christian faith to post here. In fact, you don't need to belong to any form of "religion" to post here. I just want you to be able to start seeing the good things in life.
