Challenge #7: Dear Diary
You are writing as one of the following characters:

1. A divorced young mother of one, struggling to make ends meet, who is offered money by her estranged parents.
2. An elderly man whose wife has recently passed on, who is considering dating again.
3. A teenage girl who has come to the uncomfortable realization that she is in love with her best friend (male or female)
4. A petty thief who wants to get out of crime, but doesn't know how to live straight.
5. A forty-ish woman living in a future post-apocalyptic world, wondering if life is worth it now.
6. A captain of a fishing trawler facing a gathering storm.
7. A minister of a large congregation, who has recently realized he doesn't believe in God anymore.
8. A car salesperson (male or female) who dreams of making something better of his/her life.
9. A twelve-year old boy who didn't make the competitive baseball team, despite his years of hard work.
10. A thirty-five year old housewife who has a secret Internet lover that she is trying to decide whether to meet.

Pick one of these, and write a diary entry detailing a day's thoughts in the life of this character. Be sure to include motivations, any choices that need to be made, fantasies, realities.
