Gentle: Take care of the author's feelings, offered some mild suggestions whenever possible
Moderate: Usual thing, provide advices and suggestions to the authors on places they could improve.
Harsh: Cut straight to the point, pinpoint all the errors, and tell them what's wrong with the whole thing. While doing that, do offered suggestions on how they can improve on their work.
