November Fortune Challenge: "You will make many changes before settling down happily."



The idea behind this community is, like others out there, you're given 30 somethings (in this case, fortunes), and you write fics, produce art -- drawings, icons, etc -- to represent the themes. Obvious, and played out, but never quite this way! Though the community is oriented to anime, manga, and Japanese-related stuff, all fandoms and pairings are welcomed! On that note, if you do a pairing of two living humans (say, an actor and actress together), make sure you note that your work does not imply actual relationship. :)


The rules are surprisingly simple.
1. There is no time requirement, but please try to have at least one fortune per month posted. We'd like more, but with life's stresses, it's okay if you can't do all of them in two weeks or something. Take your time, just at least once a month!

2. Two pairing/person per claimant. The only exception is if you and another person pair up on a pairing/person (i.e., person A has character1 and character2 pairing. person B has character3 and character4 pairing. if A and B decided to co-write a pairing of character2 and character3, they could jointly sign up for that pairing). The limit is one pairing or person shared for co-writers. Likewise, once you have completed a pairing/person, someone else may claim that pair/person for their own fortune interpretations.

3. There are 30 fortunes and 5 grab-bag fortunes listed below. The 30 are the main fortunes. If you find yourself unable to write one fortune for any reason you have, you are allowed to write a grab-bag fortune in it's place. In essence you may drop up to five fortunes in the main list for the five grab-bag fortunes. No more than that!!

4. Fics and art can be any rating, G-NC-17. Yaoi, yuri, het, anything goes. (I know more than a few of you will add 'in bed'/'between the sheets' to the endings of these fortunes...) All work, regardless of rating, must be hidden behind an LJ-Cut. NO FAKE LJ-CUTS. Either do a true LJ-Cut, or link to elsewhere.

5. You are welcome to submit a fortune to the pot! If you have an absolutely brilliant fortune you think should be up here, EMAIL ME! Each month will have a 'special theme' in addition to the 30 fortunes up to be written.

6. VERY IMPORTANT! ALL WORK MUST HAVE A DISCLAIMER! You don't own the characters/people/etc; make sure you say this. Legal problems = bad. As some may choose to write original characters, have a claimer.

7. Postings follow the following format:

And the final rule: NO PLAGERISM OR STEALING. Plagerism is wrong, but I know people out there who still do it. Likewise, no stealing artwork or icons created by other members unless you have their permission AND provide (at their discretion) credit for it.
