Second Floor Slave Auction
Hello to all Second Floorers!
Want someone to do your chores for a day, or fix your computer, or tutor you in one of your subjects? Or do you just think it would be amusing to make your friend wear a pink sombrero to uni? Then come along to Second Floor on Wednesday and buy a slave! As a fundraising event to raise money for II, FAS^2 and other Second Floor clubs, we're holding a slave auction, mainly of committee members, though we're also selling anyone else who's willing to contribute a day of their time to help the clubs.
Time: 6:00 pm Wednesday 10th of August
Place: Mary Cooke Lounge on the Second Floor of Union House
Minimum bid: $10
Amount of time the slave is bought for: 12 hours (1 day)
People being sold: ,
altheas,
neo_leviathan, me, Tobias,
paradoxian,
wolfishgrin,
blinvisible,
saikogrrl,
toley_elf, and others. (If any of these are wrong, please tell me or as soon as possible. Also if anyone else is up for being sold, please tell us before Wednesday - the money you raise will be donated to the Second Floor club of your choice. It would be really good if we can get the other committees to sign up. We've already got the entire II committee being auctioned, so if you're on the committee of any second floor club and haven't spoken to us yet, please comment here or email one of the organisers. (,
neo_leviathan and I have contact details in our userinfos.))
Suggestions for things to get slaves to do:
Get them to do for you:
* Wash your car
* Do your laundry
* Tutor/teach/give lessons on something
* Build/make/paint something
Do to them:
* Make them do the chicken dance in the middle of a FAS meeting
* Dye their hair (non-permanent only)
* Make them wear a horridly conspicuous hat to uni
* Wax their legs
* Refuse to allow them to play Magic: The Gathering for a day
Things you can't make a slave do:
* anything illegal
* anything against their religion, etc.
* anything against university regulations (eg. making them do your homework for you)
* anything that causes them harm
* things that interfere with classes/work
* eating tofu
* things that are permanent or can't be removed if needed (eg. permanent hair dye)
* sexual favours/nudity by private arrangement only
* spending their own money (eg. if you want someone to make you a cloak, you pay for the materials yourself.)
Any appeals go to the auction organisers - ,
neo_leviathan,
altheas and myself.
Even if you're not planning to buy a slave, it should still be an entertaining evening, so come along for the show and the company :-) Hope to see as many of you there as possible!
