I've been into birds for the past 15 years and have been doing small rescue for the past 7 years.
I created this place to be an open forum, an exchange of people who are owned by 2nd hand birds, and who do rescue. I normally don't care about what gets posted here (I need help/look at these pictures/updates on the rescues), but please large pictures belong behind an LJ cut tag.
Please note: If you happen to find a young or injured bird it is best if you were to locate a local wildlife rehabber nearest you. This is the best plan of action as it is illegal to keep and care for wild birds (with a few exceptions- the European starling being one of them). If you don't know where to start you can try here
Things that are NOT acceptable:
~Ads to sell birds (adoptions are something different)
~Pictures of your own birds in dangerous situations (i.e. Bubble baths, or sitting with a dog or cat)
This list is ungoing and will continue to be updated
