Okay folks, what's happening out there in 24 land? Not much here on this community, as challenge 36 closes in just two days and there are no (as in zero, nada, none) entries yet. So what's the deal?
It's time to get out your favourite graphics package, be it that expensive Adobe thing, the cheaper package for those shopping for paint, a freeware package that seems a bit gimpy, or whatever else you might use, and make some icons! I'd make this message self destruct in 20 seconds, but that would make a mess of your LJ layouts, so I'll have to satisfy myself with just giving you a mission. Go forth and make icons!Current Mood: hopeful

Yes, it's due two weeks from now, as last time we did get a decent number of icons. Let's see how many we can get for this challenge.

And I'd also like to remind everyone about challenge 31. The challenge closes next Friday, November 3rd. Currently there are ZERO entries. Obviously what's happening here is that people are taking the first week off and are then going to post like crazy next week. I'm right, aren't I? :)
GO FORTH AND ICON! (Yes, I know it's not strictly a verb, but what the heck.)

The following challenge contains images from Day 5. While the vast majority of those who voted said that Day 5 would not be considered a spoiler for them, I wanted to make sure I posted a warning anyway.
( people near the President ... )
Based on the poll I did yesterday where the majority of people voted for a fortnightly/bi-weekly challenge, I'm making the deadline for this challenge November 3rd. The idea is to get more icons by holding the challenge open for longer. If we don't get more icons, I may switch back to weekly. Bascially I'll play this by ear and see how it works out. ;-)
Deadline: Friday, November 3rd.

| » Questions |
Okay then. I have a couple of questions that I'd like to post in a poll.
The first is whether day 5 is still considered a spoiler. Yes, I know that it hasn't yet aired in Germany or Italy, and probably several other places, but I also know many people in those areas have already managed to get hold of the season via other means. And I've been asked for more day 5 related challenges, so I'd like to know whether anyone still considers day 5 to be a spoiler. If you want to be see more day 5 icons, vote no in the first question.
The second question is related to how often we should do a challenge. Until now it has been weekly, but there have been less entries of late as people are busy, so I'm wondering whether there is any interest in making the challenge only every other week (fortnightly). I'm particularly interested in the responses from those who enter regularly, or would do so if the challenges were less frequent. The challenges may still only run for a week, but they wouldn't necessarily be held every week - though I'm open to suggestions on that.
Note that a change to bi-weekly wouldn't necessarily be forever. It could just be until day 6 starts and there is a renewed interest. I'm just seeing what people think.
Poll #849064
Open to: Friends, detailed results viewable to: FriendsAre season 5 icons still considered spoilers? How often should the challenges be? So please let me know your thoughts. You can also use this post to make suggestions for future challenges. It's tough coming up with ideas, so if you have any thoughts, just drop me a comment.
Thanks!
