In my effort to find a good "Blinded!cradling" icon, I've decided to icon some myself. I've done it in the past, but I'm better now than I was when the episode aired. I don't know if they're even any good, I have a really difficult time critiquing my own work, but I know they're better than some of the ones that I've seen.

Eh, there aren't many, but what're you gonna do.

So.. horrifically.. bored. I'm wondering if I should maybe force myself to write some fanfic, or make some SVU icons, or wander around the house aimlessly. I think... I will do some memes, and then make icons, yes.

I'm sick of getting layouts with no coding for a header image. Srsly. I get that some people don't want a header image, but most people do. So if you're going to make a layout to share, at least put the coding in!!
So if you ever get a layout that doesn't have the coding for a header image, here it is. Add this to the end of your code (only works for flexi squares):

And while I'm doing this, there are other things in layout coding that pisses me off. Like the space between the tops of headers and the top of the screen. I like a distance of between 15-20px. But sometimes people don't include this option in their coding either. It's easy enough to add it, but it's a fairly standard code to have, come on.

To be able to edit this particular part of your layout (distance between the top of your screen and the top of your header), you'll find it at the start of your code, usually, under the section called "body". You edit the part that says "margin-top". Background colour controls the background colour of your layout, obviously, font-family controls the font style of your layout (though you'd more than likely have to go through the entire code and change ALL of the fonts if you want to change that), font size = size, and color (in this particular section) controls the font color of the ENTRIES ONLY.

Ugh, I've had a tiring last two days.

Yesterday Rebecca and I went to a classmate's house along with a bunch of other kids from our grade to set up decorations for our hallway for School Spirit Week. So Becca picked me up at my house around 10:45...we didn't get to Megan's house until almost NOON! Needless to say, we got lost. Not fun, well...it actually was quite amusing for a little while. Fortunately her mom took off of work for the day so we just called her and she helped us find the house. So we get there and we park behind a silver Range Rover...now I'm thinking, "Why does that car look so familiar?"

Well Rebecca and I go walking up the drive and Megan meets us in the middle to see what took us so long when who do I see? RICKY!

SO THAT'S why that car looked so familiar...it was Ricky's. 

Now Rebecca didn't see him yet so I say quietly (or so I thought), "IT'S HIM!" Rebecca later told me that I practically screamed it :p

Of course me and Rebecca were wondering why the hell he was there because hallway decorating just isn't his thing. Of course his best friend Alex was there...the guy that Rebecca talked to about me and Ricky. So I'm thinking he probably asked him to go with him so it wouldn't be him and 15 girls :p

Anyways, I tried not to get distracted, which was somewhat challenging but I think I did pretty well.

After I stopped hyperventilating, Megan had Becca and I working on Lord Licorice's castle...which we named "Hugo". When we were finished he looked AWESOME!!! Oh and Ricky only told us about 5 times how great it looked ^_^ *squee!*

So after we finished cleaning up at Megan's, Rebecca and I went to see The Duchess with Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes. It was quite amusing, then again, we find anything with British people to be amusing. :p

Today I went to go volunteer at a theatre near my house because the Fall Festival was going on. So it was me, Rebecca, Bridget, and Kristen handing out flyers and putting them in windshields all day. By 1:00 o'clock Rebecca and I were exhausted from all of our work Yesterday and then walking all over the place Today in the heat.

So Rebecca and I left a little early because we were just dead.

So now here I am lounging around being a lazo for the rest of the day. :p

btw Nadja, only 1 hour and 40 minutes more :p.

I've finished season 3 of Battlestar Galactica, and am now beginning the process of downloading season 4. Episode 1 has 2hrs 30min to go. SIX SIX SIX SIX SIX. :D

→ I cleaned my room today. /uninteresting.
→ I made an appointment for Tuesday 12:30pm to get another tattoo :D. On the phone, Dani (my tattooist) said, "Scotty can do it for you, have you been tattooed here before?" (Yeah!) "Who was your tattoo artist?" (You lol) "You're my client! Oh well I'm not giving you to Scotty then." Lollll.
→ I finally found somewhere to put my Céline Dion tour book. It's only been what, seven or so months? It's been collecting dust on my book shelf. But now it has a proper place, where it's actually SEEN. Photo:

Which should I get for my next tattoo?

I'll probably end up choosing one on my own, because that's how I roll. But it's interesting to know what you guys think. I'm leaning towards "Freedom", because it's what I wanted first, before I found the other two.

As a quick side note: I forgot how much I like Arctic Monkeys' "Fluorescent Adolescent." They're one of those bands I tried really hard not to like because they were the cool band to like when I was getting into them, but I can't help it. It's a good song.

The meat, though: I'm getting quagmired, I think. I'm alienating friends, putting off/getting lost in and intimidated by massive amounts of work, blowing off responsibilities, and not sleeping.

Seeing Patrick today put everything in focus. I hadn't seen him since The Laramie Project last year, when he looked healthy and, at last, fully recovered. I was wrong. He's lost weight (that he couldn't really spare) and is much more reserved. He moved uptown in May or so, and getting away from where it happened gave him enough distance to fully take it in. His physical healing regressed, as well as psychological. He seems like he's doing alright now, but the very idea of him suffering makes me want to beat the shit out of who did this to him, and just hug him and tell him everything's okay. At least he lives near me now.

After going stir-crazy in Directing, I had dinner, came home and planned on a quick nap before going to volunteer at the Film Fest. I woke up at 1:00 AM. In my defense, they have my phone number, but regardless- I'm an asshole. Also, the volunteer coordinator scheduled me to work all day both Saturday and Sunday, which is not only a ridiculously long time, but makes cramming for my two insanely hard midterms (okay,not insanely hard, just massive amounts of information) pretty impossible. So I emailed her Wednesday to say I could work max of 1 shift a day and to ask which one(s) she would prefer. I haven't gotten a response, which makes passive-aggressive me just not want to show up. Especially since she put me on merchandise, even though I was one of two people at the orientation interested in A/V. I'm already bummed about this experience- that's not good.

Also, I'm both mad at myself for abandoning my friends and put off by the suggestion that I have. Naturally, I don't hang out as much, or at least not just me. But I feel that lately I've said yes to every invitation. Maybe I'm just bummed because Alison went out tonight and I stayed home. Maybe I just want the best of of both the single and coupled worlds. Maybe I'm an ass. I'm not sure.

At least the Phillies won tonight. 2-0 in the NL series- pretty rad, man.
