PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THE COMMUNITY UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE PARTICIPANTS LIST!

Now, this is easy guys, just read all the steps, follow the rules and you'll be fine! XD

Step One: Please read the complete set of rules and FAQs - We will know if you haven't ;D Then you can apply to be apart of the challenge! Go [HERE] to do so - remember, we ask you to not post anything else until you've been added to the [participants list] :)

Step Two: You'll need to give us a link once you've started of where you'll be hosting your novel, just so we know you're active and going well, and of course to be able to read your fantastic work! You'll need to do that [HERE] No rush though, just after you've posted your first completed chapter!

Note: I realise some people aren't comfortable with showing their work, so perhaps this community isn't for you. This community is to write for the public, to get a 20 chaptered fic out there for the readers enjoyment, so sorry if you've come here with hopes and I've just dashed them :( But that's the rule, you need to host your novel or fanfic somewhere in public for all to see, and you need to give us that link. Once you've given us that, you're well on your way! But on your way to what..? Read On!

Step Three: You've done your first chapter - Keep writing! Post to this community every time you update a chapter (the format of how you should do this can be found below) and push on! You have a long way to ahead of you!

That's it! Three easy steps :D You simply register to be a participent, wait till you're added, then you start writing! Can't get much more simple than that ;D

So, What are we doing here?

Well, we are going to attempt to write a fanfic or novel that is 20 chapters long - but it can go for longer if you so wish :) Each chapter needs to be at least 2,000 words long which means that by the end, you'll have at least 40,000 words!

You may join at any time, which is why we ask whenever you post your latest chapter you state where you're up to :) You may write whatever takes your fancy at all, as long as you get 20 chapters done, and all chapters meet the word count requirement. Further rules can be found below :)

[What information do I need to have when I post my chapters?]

I hope you read that link to the side explaining what information is needed when posting :) It's fairly simple, you just have to copy and paste what I've offered for you below there, just make sure you know how to fill it out correctly :)

We ask that you link to your latest chapter each time, and you can do that by hosting it in your own journal or in a writing journal, or even in a place such as [FanFiction.net] or [FictionPress], but you can post it in the same entry under an LJ-cut if you like ^^

All Rules and FAQs can be found [HERE], as it keeps the userinfo as clean and neat as possible. Please be sure you read them before you apply as it will be easy to know if you haven't, and I WILL delete your comment without replying if you fail. Okaies? :D

How else can I contact you?: Through this questions post is best, it can be found [HERE] - I'm on often, so if you simply comment there you can expect a fast reply. I'll update that entry if I'm going to be away for any reason. Please don't come to my personal journal with questions, there's little point. If you really want to, feel free to email me at keladryie[at]gmail[dot]com and put the title of the email as something useful, such as 20Chapters Question!

You're finished, so now...: You can post [HERE] with a link pointing to your completed Fic or Novel! Be sure to fill out the form given there correctly so we have all your details (such as word count, etc) so you can be held in proud display like you deserve :D
