Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts, Seifer, or Fuu. All is own by Squeenix, but you knew that already. I wouldn’t be writing drabbles about it if I did, now would I? Nah, didn’t think so.
Author’s Note: Starting out in Fuu’s POV. What ever could this mean? Also, I went all Discipline Committee on you.
It’s raining out. Damn, and I wanted to patrol today. Maybe we could still go out and practice Struggle or martial arts. It would be nice if we took up Vivi’s idea and go out to the beach and observe the storm’s effects on the ocean. That would be so fun. Of course, Seifer would never accept that, and Rai would be too bored… Oh well.
I hear the door knock, and so I look down from the balcony. It’s no other person than Seifer. I smile, my hair hiding it completely, and I run down the stairs quickly. It’s not like he can see my smile, he’s too far down and my hair is in the way. I decided to style it around my face over the summer. I’m glad he approves. I open the door, and he’s soaking wet. He isn’t wearing his beanie, that’s something new. I wonder what he wants…
“Fuu, what the hell are you doing? We’re still on patrol today, you know that. We patrol, regardless of rain or snow. We’re trying to keep down on crime more. Can’t let Hayner and the others start crime when we’re off!” He puts back on his beanie, which is dry… I’m assuming that maybe he put it in his pocket. He’s going to catch cold, I know he is.
“Oh… Umbrella?” I walk over to the hall closet and grab an umbrella, and insist with my looks that he should use one. He wants to share mine, so we’ll just be a little wet later on. This is actually Vivi’s, so I’m giving it back. “Go,” I say, as I push him out the door and lock it. All my neighbors stare at us, but I don’t care. I’m patrolling, shut up.
We make it over to the sandlot, and I hand Vivi back his umbrella. He smiles, and runs up to hug me, and I hug him back. He’s such an adorable kid, I don’t know why he’s in the Committee. Maybe Seifer thought he could be our mascot, or our softer side. Who knows.

After patrolling, and after Rai and Vivi go home, I grab Fuu by the shoulder. She’s completely confused, since I didn’t tell her we were doing private patrolling again. “Let’s go,” I say, and I grab her by the hand, and walk through town. I lead her to Sunset Hill, which gives a perfect view of Twilight Town and Sunset Station. We sit on the top of the hill, and stare at the town, with the occasional train rolling by on its tracks.
“Nice,” she says, as she stands up and continues to let the rain fall on her. She’s smiling, and I am too. The rain gives a nice, calming, healing effect on you. Of course, her sight won’t be perfect again, but the scene makes it seem so. I hug her from behind, and let my head rest in her neck. It’s so natural for me, but I think I took her by surprise. She grabs my hands, and holds them, as she smiles and keeps looking out.
When the moment ends, I take her back home, and I can clearly tell she’s disappointed. “Again?” she asks me, and there’s no way I could refuse.
“Of course, Fuu. I’ll see you in the morning.”
