Q: Why use food as a theme?
A: Cos the main mod is a hungry person all the time.
Q: Can I put 2 themes into one fic?
A: No you can't. Its in the rules.
Q: Must I tie a mandatory theme to a food theme?
A: Yes you must.
Q: If I am doing a fanwork on theme #1, must I tie that to the food theme #1?
A: No, it is not necessary. You can tie it to for example, food theme #16 or #5. It's totally up to you and there are no restrictions! But remember to just tie ONE food theme to a mandatory theme.
Q: Can the extra themes be used to substitute for the main themes?
A: Yes, and it goes for the mandatory themes as well as the food themes.
Q: If I claim a character, can I write/draw about different pairings in different fics/fanarts?
A: No you can't. This way, you are intruding on those who claim pairings. You can't do pairings if you claim a character.
Q: Is there a certain word limit (upper or lower) for fanfics?
A: No there isn't. Fics can be as long or as short as you want them to be.
Q: Can I use works that have already been made public?
A: Yes you may. But please do not do this too often. A challenge is supposed to let you create new stuff. However I think that there will not be many fics that have been made public and also with some of the food themes in it. :P
Q: If I'm unable to post within the stipulated period of time (going abroad or exams), can I tell the mods and still keep my claim till I am able to post?
A: Definitely! The mods are nice, friendly people! Just drop us a mail or leave a comment in our LJs.
Q: Must all the fics be romantic?
A: No. Any genre is acceptable. You can write romance, science fiction, humour, angst or anything else.
Q: Can I interpret the food themes in any way?
A: Yes you can. As long as the theme is within your fic or art.
