Hey! Look everybody! We won! [*laughs, bitterly*]

Does anyone draw any hope from the fact that we trounced "Sarah is beheaded on Prison Break", a plot twist so universally scorned that the Prison Break PTBs are now reversing themselves? Perhaps Zach's good name will be restored yet, if Bones lasts that long...

Given that Hart Hanson's repeatedly said that he doesn't care what the fans think as long as it's drawing viewers/ratings? I'm not keeping my hopes up. *sigh*

Mmmmmm...Epic win.

I'm just going to go live in my alternate universe fic now...They won't reverse it. They went with it, and while that's great for them I can't watch it this coming season. Zack was the reason I watched it. I might try and laugh at Sweets a bit, but I'll just check the credits for Eric M. before I watch it.
I still think it would've been great if they'd logic-ed it out a bit more, but it's over and done.
To AU!

I'd say I'm shocked, except, well... I'm not. Hart Hanson, while a wonderful person, I'm sure, just drives me up the wall. Grr...

A much deserved "win."

I'm rewatching season 3 now, and it's almost painful to watch Zack in the earlier episodes, knowing how the season ends. Especially jarring are the Gormogon episodes - we actually see Zack attacking the lobbyist, a fact I'd forgotten :/

It's actually not Zack attacking the lobbyist in the closet. At least it's not Eric. Another actor played that part. They didn't plan to have Zack be the apprentice at that time. That was a last minute decision so there's no real build up to it in the season. Thus, the award for the "Worst Plot Twist."

I know it's not Eric, but in keeping with canon now, it is Zack.

We'll have to agree to disagree, then. I *know* it's not Zack (Eric), so I can't suddenly pretend it is because Hanson had a mental breakdown and forgot who his characters were. If canon isn't sacred to the writer/producer, it isn't to me. :D

Well, you can't really say it's not canon that Zack killed the guy...But if you want to ignore that part (wish I could), more power to ya.

I can ignore that part because I believe there's a trust between the writer and the audience that Hanson broke. I don't have to respect any writer who doesn't respect their own characters. So, yeah, it's pretty easy for me to ignore that episode. It's a ridiculous story and totally unbelievable for the character so that helps the ignoring part. But I can understand if you can't.

Oh, I was just as upset about the storyline as anyone else. I was just making the point that, unless the writers recant/retcon that episode, it is show canon now, despite what our own personal versions of canon look like. It aired as canon, and it will should be brought up in future episodes as well, no matter how unbelievable and ridiculous it is.

That's awesome. We won!

Heh.

As a member -- possibly the only member -- of the Church Of Bones, Orthodox, I have split with the congregation and no longer believe in the infallibility of Pope Hart The First.

So now:
Bones ended with 02x22.
The third season is actually the first season of a new romantic comedy called Booth & Brennan, the Moonlighting Edition.
Zack didn't get screwed, and neither did we.

:P
