She had these brief, brilliant flashes of insight.

Hi guys, we've had some ongoing discussion amongst us mods about friending memes in the community. We feel that they're pretty spammy, and get sent quite a bit. So ... OPTIONS

1.Ban them outright.
2.Make a rule that they can only be mentioned in addition to a post of substance (ie, 'here are my new icons/fanfic... and btw, check out this friending meme!')
3.Make an official 206_bones one that new users can fill out and hotlinking it to the comm front page.
4. Limiting them to one or two a month.

I've been trying for hours to get this up, but Photobucket has been a syphilitic whore all night. And it's like, 22 degrees out, and it's 10:30 at night, damnit. That has nothing to do with your contest, just with the fact that I'm hot and stuff. Okay. Nothing but past winners this week, folks. Here's how it went down:

Second place went once again to the inimitable and lovely miss zerodetorres, and her awesome Wonder Cam icon:



And first (and technically also second, with icon #22) was our frequent winner of mucho talent, chikanelove! (this made it easier on me, as I didn't even have to change the username on the first place banner from last week) Dude, could your icons be any more awesome?



Mod's choice was hard again this week. You people don't make this job easy! In the end, I chose giveitlove's contribution, as the colouring was really nice, and I thought her use of the spotlight texture really added something to the picture.



Winners, please save your banners to your own webspace, and feel free to display them whever you see fit! Congratulations to everyone, you all did amazing work this time round, and it was a very close contest. I look forward to seeing everyone's entries next week!

A/N:  Some of you know that hpaich and I have been working on a little something something, and I am proud to say that its here for your reading pleasure!!  A couple VERY important notes:

1)  This was written for one reason only...to celebrate the birthday of our dear friend bearlee_there.  Every author has certain readers that are always there with the most incredible feedback, thoughtful advice, and kind words.  And for a lot of writers, it is bearlee_there.  There is no better present than a fic written just for her.  Happy Birthday Sweetie!  You deserve it!

2)  This was based off of a prompt that hpaich had in her files.  She had this wonderful little paragraph typed up and it just got the whole thing started.  Nothing deep here, just what I have coined "Smut Fluff".  Perhaps Smuff for future fics!!  Hmm..I like that!  Aren't I witty at 12:30 in the morning?

3)  We have never done anything of joint-authorship before.  It has been a wonderful exerience that has streched both of us and helped us to develop more as writers.  I have learned so much through this experience, and I am humbly in debt to hpaich for doing this with me

5. This is the most important one- ABSOLUTELY NO BASHING OF ANY ICONS!! Everyone has talent and nobody deserves to have their art criticised. If you insult any icon, even if it is your own, your vote will be disqualified and you will be prohibited from participating in the contest for one week.

6. Once voting is complete, I will not be identifying the icons by creator. If you wish to claim your icon (again, once all votes are in) you are completely welcome to do so. However, if you don't wish people to know which icon you created, that is your right, and your identity
will be kept private, so as to make sure you feel comfortable continuing to participate.

7. DO NOT vote for your own icon(s). Give it to someone else who you feel is deserving!

8. All votes will be screened. If you'd like to know how your icon(s) did after the contest is over, message me and I'll be happy to tell you. If you want to make a general comment or something, just comment after you've voted and I'll unscreen it for you.
