Purge Post

  • Jan. 25th, 2010 at 12:13 AM
Instructions:

  • Comment with this form: filled out if you would like to keep your claim
  • Any claims not spoken for will be deleted from the claimed list on February 1
  • You can still post completed claims in [info]1sentence, and the mods will add your claims to the completed list.
  • Claims that have one * next to them are still under the purge warning. So, if your claim has one * next to it, please let the mods know whether you want to keep your pairing, or whether or not we can release it.
  • Any claims marked with [will be deleted] beside it WILL BE DELETED on February 1st as per [info]1sentence's policy. You are allowed two extensions, and then your claim is deleted (honestly, one year is enough to hang onto a pairing).

And, just in case any members are unsure what they have claimed, here's the List )

    Upcoming Purge Warning

    • Jan. 18th, 2010 at 11:12 PM
    Hi everyone,

    It's that time again ... Our last one was way over six months ago. ^^;

I'm currently giving out the general warning that the claimed list will be in purge mode commencing now. I've disabled comments on the claiming post to make things a bit less confusing. A list of claims that will be deleted from the claimed list will be posted within the next few days or so.

If your claim is finished, please feel free to post it in the community and the mods will add it to the completed claims list as soon as possible. If it's not, no worries, just be on the lookout for the purge post.

Thank you! Questions, comments, etc., feel free to ask!

    - xushi

    *shameless self-plug*

    • Aug. 4th, 2009 at 12:19 AM
    Hi members,

I'm here plugging a new fanfiction/fanart community [info]azirae and me just opened. Same idea as [info]1sentence essentially, except the theme sets are shorter by a large margin (we figured it'd be good for those users who have trouble completing 50), and for all those talented artists out there as well!

So, go join and make a claim, since you know, it's kind of lonely right now.

    July News

    • Jul. 13th, 2009 at 5:59 PM
Hi folks, just a few updates/news of what's going on with [info]1sentence.

Edit: Fixed the part about the formatting for the claims.

  • First piece of business is the poll (which is now closed). Looks like the re-organization of the completed claims list will be done by Fandom/Pairing/Username. It might take a bit before it is all re-organized, since we have over 500+ tags on [info]1sentence 0.o, so please be patient ^_^

  • Second ... the memory mods have asked me to post a new formating rule for posts, so please follow it. It'll make our jobs easier, and yours, since you won't get pestering posts from the mods asking you to modify the posts. The rules have been updated to reflect this.

The new format will be as follows: the subject line MUST just have the fandom, and the pairing (please list whether it is slash, real people, crossover, etc). The body of the post can be set up as per usual. The following format is just a guideline for the body of your post, and you can alter it as you see fit.

  • I have re-vamped the profile page, so feel free to check it out!

    That's all for now.

    Completed Claims Listings - CLOSED

    • Jul. 6th, 2009 at 11:41 PM
    CLOSED

I thought I'd do this diplomatically. Majority wins!

So, I was wondering if all of our awesome members would prefer the completed claims to be listed by fandoms, pairings, and usernames (kind of how the currently claimed list is set up), or if the way they are currently archived is acceptable?

I'll leave this poll open until next week (July 13th), so please, your input IS important.

    Thanks! ^_^

    CLOSED

    Purge has been complete

    Hello members,

The purging of the claimed list is now complete. Claiming has re-opened.

Also, just a reminder to the mods (in case they've forgotten their claims), these are the claims you have. They won't be purged.

Mod Claims are as Follows )

    PURGE

    • May. 17th, 2009 at 11:06 PM
    Hello members,

As you have probably guessed, or know, purging of the claims list happens every six months. So... it's that time again.

Please leave a comment to inform the mods whether or not you would like to keep your claim. EVEN IF YOU RECENTLY MADE A CLAIM, PLEASE COMMENT HERE!

If the mods do not recieve a comment/notice from you regarding your claim(s), then your claim(s) WILL BE DELETED ON JUNE 1

For those that do have a * next to their names, PLEASE COMMENT AS WELL. Your claims will be marked with two **'s. You also have another six months to complete your extended claims, otherwise, they will be deleted come next purge post.

    Thank you.

Please use the form when you comment. Simply highlight all the text, copy, paste, and change appropriate text.

Claims up to [info]nalakaori_chan are done

    Mini Reminder/Update

    • Apr. 13th, 2009 at 8:28 PM
All right, so disregard the whole purging of membership. It was mainly for users who have 'dead' journals, but I was getting a headache from having to check. I just swept out all the actual deleted journals.

However, this is just a little reminder for the community as a whole since I have just noticed this is becoming a bit of a hassle.

YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY IN ORDER TO MAKE A CLAIM.

I know that may seem pretty basic, but it is listed as Rule #1, and there are some users who have not been reading them and going off and claiming a pairing. I had to delete some claims where I noticed this occurring. Personally, I think that is why claims do not get done on the claimed list, which in turn holds up others wanting to do the already claimed claim.

So, please, for future reference: YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY TO MAKE A CLAIM.

Thank you. Claiming has re-opened, but a Purge post of the currently claimed list will be a go-ahead by May-ish.

Any issues, please feel free to contact us!

    Friendly Reminder

    • Apr. 2nd, 2009 at 8:17 PM
    Hello community ...

This is just a friendly reminder that purging of the claims list will be in approximately a month or so.

No pressure or anything, but if you have completed claims that you may have forgotten about, please post them in [info]1sentence.

THE ABOVE DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY CLAIMS THAT HAVE JUST BEEN ADDED; I.E. ANY ONE WHO WAS ADDED ON OR AFTER APRIL 2ND

    Questions, comments, concerns, ask away.

    Thank you.

    ^_^

Edit: changed the wording. Sometimes I think faster than I type.

    NOTICE

    • Mar. 7th, 2009 at 11:46 PM
You all may have heard about the Malware Virus spreading around LJ. If not, here's a little rundown on it:

The virus is targeting communities. It generates a mod-ish looking post informing the members that the community is being closed, and then deletes all the community's entries. The post includes a couple of links which, when clicked, will infect the clickee, compromising their personal info as well as their f-list.

So, this is just a note to tell you all that WE ARE NOT CLOSING, and if you see anything resembling this that does not come strictly from the mods, please let the LJ support team know.

    Again, WE ARE NOT CLOSING/CLOSED.

    Purge Post has been done

    • Dec. 1st, 2008 at 12:01 PM
Hello all community members. The mods have now finished with the Purge Post. Thus, all dead/un-extended claims have been deleted.
However, now is the time to head here to post claims you think we may have missed.

After all the housekeeping is done, claiming will open up again. * will probably regret saying that, as now the mad rush to ask for claims will commence*

On behalf of all the mods, thank you everyone for bearing with us during this transitional period ^_^
