| SVH #130, Model Flirt |
[Sep. 28th, 2007|12:39 am] |
I notice nanamik622 has already done a recap of Cover Girls, the first book in this miniseries. But since she mentions in it “I do hope that someone owns #130”, I’m asssuming she won’t mind me finishing the series’ recap. This is my premiere post in 1bruce1, so I apologize in advance if it’s not up to this blog’s usual fantabulous standards. Feel free to give me feedback. Too long? Not snarky enough? Let me know. I just had to have a try because it recently dawned on me that, having read most of Sweet Valley High and being an avid collector of almost every Sweet Valley series, I am a perfect candidate to recap books. Or maybe I’ll be a crap candidate...but fuck it. (Or as a Sweet Valley native would say…fudge it? Place it gently where the sun don’t shine? Their euphemisms for swears are truly entertaining.) This miniseries was one of my favourites as a kid....oh, alright. As a teenager. First, I must dissect the front cover.

Sweet Valley High #37 - Rumors or, The One Where It All Comes Right In The End

Okay, not much to snark at in this book, because it's actually quite decent. Still, for your reading pleasure, here's a recap of the A and B plot. ( The A Plot: ) ( The B Plot: )
Thus ends one of the more decent SVH books :) |

| #2 One 2 Many, or Liz Stands up to Jessica (No, I'm not kidding) |

Is that a zit on Elizabeth's chin!? And why are they both looking at Jessica like that? More importantly, if I sent my proof of purchase to the address inside, would I still get that limited edition nsync cassette?

| SVH Super Edition: Murder in Paradise |

This book has murder and shallowness in it, a first for Sweet Valley High's favorite girls.
Kidding, kidding.
