Leo, Annabeth and her assistant
Annabeth: Annabeth glances through her schedule. "Lori!"
Lori: "Yes, Ma'am." Her assistant stands at the door.
Annabeth: "Where's the National Arts reception? It's not on the calendar."
Lori: "Canceled, Ma'am."
Annabeth: "Why?"
Lori: "Don't know."
Annabeth: "Call and find out?"
Lori: "No one is there today." She lies.
Annabeth: "Did my husband cancel this?"
Lori: "No?" She bites her lip, watching her.
Annabeth: "Lori?"
Lori: "They were told you were too busy, Ma'am."
Annabeth: "I'm not."
Lori: "You actually are."
Annabeth: "What? There is nothing on here."
Lori: She shrugs.
Annabeth: "Lori, what's going on?"\
Lori: "Nothing, Ma'am."
Annabeth: She exhales. "We've got the thing with the twins today still?"
Lori: "Yes."
Annabeth: "Good." She smiles. "How was your Christmas?"
Lori: "Fine ma'am."
Annabeth: "How was Gettysburg?"
Lori: "It was Gettysburg."
Annabeth: "Your parents?"
Lori: "Fine."
Annabeth: She nods. "Did you get pictures of your nephew?"
Lori: "He's fine." She watches her, "I'm not very keen on bringing my personal life to the office, ma'am."
Annabeth: "I see." They had been friends before she married Leo. "Okay."
Lori: She nods.
Annabeth: "What else is on the schedule today?"
Lori: "That's all."
Annabeth: She sighs. "I had an NEA thing."
Lori: She shakes her head.
Annabeth: "What?" She tosses down her pencil.
Lori: "I told you it was canceled."
Annabeth: "Why?"
Lori: "I don't know."
Annabeth: She sighs, getting up. She storms to Leo's office. "You canceled my day?"
Leo: Leo looks up, in the middle of a meeting, "What?"
Annabeth: "You canceled my day."
Leo: "No, you have the thing with the twins."
Annabeth: "Where is everything else?" She puts her hands on her hips.
Leo: "It had to be taken care of."
Annabeth: "What?"
Leo: "It's taken care of."
Annabeth: "Why?"
Leo: "Because you need to take care of the kids."
Annabeth: "I do." She glares.
Leo: "I know." He nods, "Can we talk about this later?"
Annabeth: "No." She glares at his staff who start to leave. "Leo, I am home almost every day. This is my one day a week to be here." Her shoulders fall, hurt.
Leo: "You shouldn't be here."
Annabeth: "I need to work too."
Leo: "You don't."
Annabeth: She exhales slowly. "I do Leo."
Leo: "For what?"
Annabeth: "For me. Because I miss adult conversation. I miss not smelling like the babies. I love them Leo but sometimes I need to be an adult and dressed up." She sighs, looking away.
Leo: "You can go other places."
Annabeth: "I'm the Vice President's wife. I can't."
Leo: "You can." He nods.
Annabeth: She looks at him. "Mallory can't even go shopping without being assaulted. They won't let me go anywhere."
Leo: "What happened to Mallory?"
Annabeth: She sighs, looking away.
Leo: "Annabeth-" He shakes his head.
Annabeth: She swallows. "She got beaten up shopping. They won't let me go out."
Leo: "And I don't blame them." He shakes his head.
Annabeth: "So let me work."
Leo: "Then go."
Annabeth: "Quit rescheduling my day." She's soft.
Leo: "I'll do what I need to."
Annabeth: She sighs, looking up at him. "Please."
Leo: "I mean it. You need to take it easy."
Annabeth: "I do." She's soft. "I just want one day a week in the office."
Leo: "It has to stay light."
Annabeth: She rolls her eyes. "I'm not your campaign manager anymore."
Leo: "Exactly."
Annabeth: "My schedule was fine."
Leo: "It was cluttered."
Annabeth: "It was what I wanted."
Leo: "Doesn't matter. Your day ends at five."
Annabeth: She rolls her eyes. "I had a reception tomorrow night. You were keeping the boys."
Leo: "Alright."
Annabeth: "It's off my schedule."
Leo: "Right. They got rid of it."
Annabeth: "Why?" She loved dressing up and going to parties.
Leo: "Because it wasn't needed anymore."
Annabeth: She sighs.
Leo: "Now, if you'd excuse me, I have some work to do."
Annabeth: She sighs again, her shoulders slumping. "Fine." She's soft.
Leo: He walks to her, kissing her nicely, "Get out of here."
Annabeth: "Don't do it again." She's so soft to him.
Leo: "Go." He says sternly, leaving the office.
Annabeth: She sighs, turning away before she cries. She gets her things, going home.
