100foraslan is a brand new narnia challenge drabble community where every Monday two prompts are given for the week. One is a set drabble of only 100 words. The other is a free challenge and there is no given word restriction.

We encourage all pairings, slash, and het and would love new members :) There is also voting for your favorite drabbles, and you might even get a banner or two!

multi_harlequin is a multi-fandom, multimedia challenge community wherein authors and artists are asked to write stories or create art about their favorite characters based on plot ideas stolen from schoompy, cliched Harlequin romances.

10_shakespeare, a fic community that challenges you to take a quote from Shakespeare and write a piece expressing that quote. You pick a fandom, then a Shakespearian play where all of your quotes will come from. 10 quotes; 10 pieces. Original works and Shakespearian fandoms are welcomed as well. Not familiar with Shakespeare? Perfectly fine, the challenge is centered around the quotes rather than the plays themselves.

Work with lines such as, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players” (As You Like It) or "If love be rough with you, be rough with love" (Romeo and Juliet). Think you have what it takes to face the bard? Then try the challenge!

weekly_letter is a prompt weekly community in which authors write a letter from a character's point of view. No claims, no word limit. Just write and go.

Communities for Writers And Artists

ficfest is a new fest for crack!fic and movie adaptations. Prompting is open until July 19th and on the 20th of July claiming will open. Right now it is only for the Supernatural fandom, however it may go multi-fandom if the first round goes as planned. So if you've got a weird or cracky idea or if there's a movie you'd like to see adapted to fit SamnDean or JarednJensen leave a prompt! Writers are also welcome :D

Based on a community similar for Harry Potter, multi_ficathon is a bi-weekly multi-fandom and original fiction ficathon. Any fandom is welcome, as well as genre/rating/pairing. Each Thursday a set of 25 prompts are given and then the Saturday of the same week members get 24 hours to write as many fics as they can based on those prompts. This weeks challenge is still ongoing wherever it's still June 21st but if you've missed this week, next Saturday is a make-up week for anyone who wasn't able to write.

spn_random is for pairings from Spn/fandom of choice, where a writer chooses a pairing with one half of the couple from Supernatural with their significant other from another fandom (i.e., Sam/Grey's Anatomy, Ash/Ugly Betty, etc./etc.) They then choose a table and then proceed to write based on those prompts.

There's also monthly challenges so that the community doesn't sit idle. These monthly prompts are open to anyone, regardless of whether they've made a claim, as long as the fic falls under the premise of the community.

spn_roadside is a monthly challenge writing and now art community for Supernatural. No claims/required pairings. Each month a prompt will be given based on a roadside attraction or historical landmark. The Winchester's spend their lives criss-crossing the country but they never actually get to stop along the way. We all know Dean wants to see the Grand Canyon, but maybe the boys go to a carnival when they're kids or even stop at the Winchester Mansion and find out about The Rifle.

spncreations is a fanart community for Supernatural fen to either request fanart (including graphics/icons, drawing, etc) or to fulfill a request. There are a number of requests waiting to be fulfilled so if you're a fanartist, stop by and make someone happy!

fairytale_redux is another challenge community, this one is multi-fandom and deals with the fairy tale's of the Brother's Grimm. As a writer you claim a story as well as a fandom and rewrite that story around the fandom of your choosing. This community is also open to artists and even vidders, there's no limit to who can participate. Original work is also welcome.

We're now doing a rotation of prompts, prompt #1 can be found here. Prompts will be open to all members, regardless of whether or not they have a claim.

madmad_stories2 is a little different. Every Wednesday a set of 10 words are given and you are to incorporate those words into one story without repeating them. Once a story is posted the other members rate the stories based on a star system and whoever has the most points by the end of the round gets to choose the next set of 10 words. We're only one fic away from our next set so stop by and write!

Ok, it’s a fact, the Riddler doesn’t receive enough love in the fandom. And that makes ~~Sara~~ Eddie sad.

So, here’s my proposal: write a drabble/ficlet/one-shot/longfic/whatever-you-want-as-long-as-it’s-a-fanfic about him getting some love and post it here as a comment or on your Journal (but still provide me the link, ‘kay?).

Any rating and any genre is allowed, so... what are you waiting for? Give Eddie some love! ♥

I have taken over as maintainer for 30_hugs and am looking to get it active again. :) I have accepted all claims in waiting, and would be happy to see more members join! ^^ I have also officially opened the comm to both romantic and platonic pairings. Small Fandoms Fest & Flashfiction Comms

The third Fest at smallfandomfest is now open for prompts! We’re pretty excited at the prospect of getting a bunch of new fanfic and fanart in our favorite small fandoms, and we hope that you are, too. But we need your help!

We need you to submit loads of prompts to entice others to write or create graphics, and if you know anyone else who loves small fandoms, please pimp us out to them!

We’ll be accepting prompts through May 21st, after which they’ll be up for grabs. For more information or to submit a prompt, read this post and comment there.
