[fanart] Mayuri likes caffeine

pairing: Mayuri/coffee
rating: G
A/N: In his free time, Mayuri-sama likes to drink coffee and check on the growth of his eye mold.

And yet more indignity for Nemu, good thing she doesn't mind.

Great work! What media did you use for the first picture?

And extra kudos for including Akon in the doodle. Do you mind if I add it to my Akon collection?

hey, thanks!
I used old school paint: gouache and acrylic. Add to your collection? Sure, I don't mind at all, but I appreciate your asking.

Thank you for allowing me. I know I'd rather have people ask permission when they collect my art online too. It's just polite.

The eyes in the background are gorgeous and very fluid, especially the movement of paint around them on the outside. Mmmm. And the colors flow well, too.

I can't decide if I'd want Mayuri to be in the same kind of fluid motion as those eyeballs, but he makes a good contrast against the background, so I shouldn't complain.

Well done! 8D Thank you for sharing. <3

Nice critique! I had fun with the background: layers of watery acrylic and painting eyeballs is always amusing. The scan wasn't very good so I upped the contrast of Mayuri in photoshop. If that's what you picked up on, then good eye!

It looks like you had fun! :D It turned out really well. The contrast I was talking about was that he looks like he was painted more of a 'cel-shading' look than the fluid "organic" (woo, fancy words) look of the background. It helps him stand out from the background. But nice actual contrast adjustment in Photoshop, too! I think it helps! :>

Mmmm, love that eye mold. It's got some really interesting colour combinations that I'd expect Mayuri to nurture. I really like the tones and shades you used on his body/hakama. It must be tough to have white stand out against white, but it looks really great with the shading around his skin being toned with a different colour compared to his hakama. (Yellow for skin and blue for clothing, I think.)

Mmmmm, I just love staring at Mayuri. Really nice job! ^_^
