12_stories

A multi-fandom fanfiction community, with a difference. The difference being that rather than just claiming one pairing, you can claim one, two, three, four, six or twelve pairings*.

As this community will contain fanfiction of an adult, both homoerotic and heterosexual, nature, you should be over the age of consent within your own country to join.

The community is slash, het and gen friendly. This means it will contain fanfiction of an adult, both homoerotic and heterosexual nature. Thus, if the idea of a romantic and/or sexual relationship between two people of the same gender or two people of opposite genders offends or upsets you, and/or you are under the age of consent within your country, then this community is not for you.

Flaming will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Let's all play nicely together and remember this credo: 'mutual respect'.

I aim to approve claims and set up tags within 24 hours of the claim being made. However, this sometimes may not be possible, so please bear with me. Also, I live in the UK, so if you are requesting a claim/asking a question there may be several hours delay before I am able to respond to you. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This is a multi-fandom, multi-pairing fanfic challenge community, similar to other such challenges, the difference being that you can claim more than one pairing for your claim.

*Please note that although I shall use the word 'pairing' throughout, it can equally mean 'character' or 'triad'.

Overview

With the vast majority of fanfiction communities, where they be five stories or a hundred, your claim is for one pairing/character or one fandom.

12_stories is different; here you may claim multi-pairings and multi-fandoms, all within the same claim, to make up your twelve stories.

You may claim:

01 pairing and write 12 stories for that pairing
02 pairings and write 06 stories for each pairing
03 pairings and write 04 stories for each pairing
04 pairings and write 03 stories for each pairing
06 pairings and write 02 stories for each pairing
12 pairings and write 01 story for each pairing

Making a total of 12 stories to be written to complete your claim.

There are 8 tables from which you can choose: Nature. Colours. Occasions. Time. Light. Dark. Miscellaneous 1. Miscellaneous 2. Go here to see the prompts for each table.

STEP ONE: Choose your fandoms and pairings.

These can be slash (male/male for female/female), het (male/female), gen (no romantic and/or sexual relationships) or they can be single characters, and be from anywhere, a TV show; a film; a book; whatever.

The only no-no, I'm afraid is that it cannot be Real Person Slash/Real Person Fiction (RPS/RPF). Sorry. I have nothing against it per se, and some of my dearest friends write it, but for the purposes of this challenge, I do not want to go there.

STEP TWO: Once your claim has been accepted, and not before, you can start to post your stories.

PAIRING: Full names, please not ‘squashed up’ names. For example, if you’re writing Gibbs/Abby, please use Gibbs/Abby (or indeed their complete names), not Gabby.
GENRE: Slash, het or gen.

PROMPT: Number and actual prompt
RATING: Ideally please use G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17 rating system. However, any system that you use is fine.
WORD COUNT:
SUMMARY: This can be as brief or detailed as you like, but please put one.
WARNINGS: I'm not going to make a huge list here, as one person's idea of warning will be another ones' 'like'. However, the things for which I suggest a warning should be given are: death of a major character, heavy BDSM, any other extreme fetish, unhappy ending, partner betrayal, partner rape. Please note that slash and het are not warnings. There is a section in the header where the genre is stated.
NOTES: Anything else you'd like to mention.
DISCLAIMER: Something like: 'I don't own these characters, nor am I making any money from them. I merely borrow them from time to time'.

Stories must be a minimum of 100 words. There is, however, no maximum.
